Thank You consultant31 that's great....a bit higher than i was expecting, i suppose it's a good job i don't eat much of it. Also we probably get more than 10 slices out of ours as my boys only like it very thin, at least i know how much it is overall so I can work it out...and like I said i can change a few of the ingredients to lower the syns in it.
You can't beat homemade bread, can you..........
thanks again
melxUnless someone like you cares a whole awful lot,

Evenin' all,
Just had the Prawn Paella from the current SW mag...absolutely gorgeous!
Totally filling, even some left over....and I normally finish whatever is left, regardless of the consequences.
Did have a couple of glasses last night, but cancelled going wine tasting tonight for fear of being OTT on Syns. (I have to swallow or it is such a waste).
Next weeks food plan all done, shopping for it completed, and at the moment I'm highly motivated to have a good WI tomorrow. (I WI at home as I do SW on the net).
I'm a big fan of the various green teas, and find them both tasty and Syn free......and it does make a welcome change from water!
Well done Barnsley
Cheers you lotAttend SW Tuesdays =
Walk to station every day = :j
3 workouts per week = None :embarasse
Plan my meals weekly = Nope:eek:0 -

Yup:
(serves 4 - free on red and green)
1 leek (though I used 4: I had to use 'em up)
2 garlic cloves
8 carrots
Fry Light
2 tsp grated ginger
1andhalf pints of bovril stock
salt and pepper
Chop the leeks and fry in the Fry Light for 2-3 minutes. Add the garlic and ginger and fry for another 2-3 minutes. Dice the carrots and add with the bovril stock. Bring it to the boil, then let it simmer until the carrots are cooked through. Season as you want, then whack it through the blender to make it smooth. They reccomend adding a swirl of vlf fromage frais when you serve it, but I didn't bother.
I had a brain-wave after I'd eaten it. I realised it reminded me of something but couldn't place it. Then my mum called and gloated that she'd had a take away curry - and that's where the connection was. If you let it simmer right down until its quite thick, it's a bit like a Passanda sauce. I'm going to try making it with some ground cumin and ground coriander and a dash of yoghuts or fromage frais tomorrow, and see if I can make it spicier. Mmmmmm!0 -
Made a LOVELY tea tonight.....
Got chicken breasts and wrapped them in bacon and spread some crushed garlic over, and bought a big mushroom stir fry to go with it.
Me and DH had this for tea, really nice indeed and totally syn free, I did use a few syns for a dollop of BBQ sauce but well worth it!:p0 -
