Was with a friend yesterday wo had made a dish for the football team, I tried some and it was yummy. Asked for ingrediants and thought it may make a good green day meal.
Peppers, mushrooms, onions, tomatoes, potato chunks , garlic, paprika pepper and hot spicy sauce along with mexican micro rice.
She basically cooked it all in frying pan heated rice and mixed it all up, she also had sausages in so I suppose you could use some sort of meat as an HEB or even quorn sausage.
Just not sure how many syn the hot and spicy sauce would be, but it was sooo nice.......
Though some of you might like to give it a try.0 -

Divide a sheet of paper in half and do a for and against list for the new job. See which side is the stronger and go with it - life is too short to miss opportunities.
Thinking of you:hello:0 -

At least you have the time to think/talk it over properly now, good luck whatever you decide.
I have had such a funny day today, foodwise. I have had a real loss of appetite for most of the day, then by about 5ish i couldn't eat enough, i wasn't very hungry, just kept picking and picking at all sorts of bits.
Now I feel sick:o
ds1 has been ill last couple of days saying he felt sick and had a raised temp, He feels better today but still wouldn't eat now he's got bl00dy worms, I hope he hasn't passed them on to me. before they broke up from school for easter we had a couple of letters from school saying they were about again, I was hoping my two wouldn't get them.
I will see how I am tommorrow. I think I will do green tomorrow and red on thursday. My mum told me about the Tesco Healthy Living salad dressings, there is a lovely morrocan one it is really nice and only 0.5syns per tbsp of it so more salad for me tom (if i feel like eating)

MEL , big hug to you to mate , pop to boots tomorrow and buy that none wash hand wash ,in a pump , and put one in the kitchen & bathroom.
I get my son 9 to use it , even if he's washed his hands , when theres bugs around this time of year, kids never wash there hands as there ment to , and if he puts it on his hands before he go's to school it helps a little bit :rolleyes:0 -

Hello Skint Catt. I havent followed this thread about your job completely but am now jumping in with my big fat nose and my two big feet
One of the things I follow regularly on the web (apart from this site!) is an online blog by a london paramedic. His name is Tom Reynolds (well thats his blog name) and he wrote a book called Blood Sweat and Tea. What does this have to do with the situation you are in? One of his recent blogs was entitled "You Only Have One, And It's Not A Rehearsal". He went on to say how he attended a recent call to someone who had sadly collapsed and died. Here are his last two paragraphs. I hope this is ok Tom posting them.
If this job has taught me one thing, it's that our time on this planet is precious, and that time can end at any moment.
So live life to the full. Make yourself happy. Try to make those that you care for happy. Your life is the only thing that you truly own and you only get one - so don't sweat the small stuff.
so my point is DO WHAT IS RIGHT FOR YOU. I know myself that whilst I twiddled my thumbs over easter, I thought how much happier I would be if instead of returning to work today, how much happier I would be if I was either enjoying a long holiday before starting the job of my dreams even if it meant working for pennies (if you get my drift). I often read the articles in Eve Magazine of woman who have given up high powered jobs to go and do something completely off the wall that means they have a much better quality of life. I have been in my current job six years and whilst I dont hate it, it does frustrate me and sometimes I wonder if this is where I am destined to stay. I would love to try something different but am too scared/not brave enough.
Perhaps you could list on a bit of paper all the fors and againsts for taking the new job and be completely honest with yourself. Also include the fors and against for staying in your current job.
Only you can make the decision and you must make the decision that is right for you not other people so I will now stop waffling and send you big hugs.0 -
After joinging SW I was good all week and when I went for weigh in I was told I had lost 8lb, I told the leader I really didn't think this was possible and that I didn't feel I had lost that amount of weight. I stayed to class and EVERYBODY that came had a loss and the leader said this was really out of the ordinary. I spent the next week being extra good and was really looking forward to weigh in to be told I had gained 1.5lbs. I was really despondent and told the leader how I felt and she said she had been dreading this weeks weigh in as EVERYBODY had lost the week before and she had never had that happen before. I again stayed to class and EVERYBODY this week had a gain. I spoke to the leader after and she just shrugged her shoulders and said that was what she had been dreading. I really feel let down by SW and wondered if anyone would give any advice on what to do now. I have fell off the diet now and am finding it really hard to get back on and was enjoying it so much.0

I have some New Convent Garden Soup sitting in my fridge with my name on it! Its the Sweet Potato, Chili and ginger one and I will be devouring it after weigh in tomorrow.
Anyway here is the nutrional info from their website. Now I have entered this into the slimming world syns calculator and it tells me it is18 syns per package/portion on Green or Originaso as the soup is 600g - does this mean thats 18 syns for the whole 600g or 18 syns per 100grams? as I entered the values from the 100g box? This would mean that that little box of soup was 108 syns . I am confused.

We had one member join our class recently and she lost a huge amount in her first week. I think over 10 pounds. She certainly got her half stone certificate in the first week. I cant remember what she lost in her second week. If you lost so much in your first week then I would expect your loss the second week to be nothing or just an odd pound say. I would say its not unusual either for you actually to gain. I have been going to SW since August and must say that all these months later, I am amazed at the rubbish I used to eat. If you stuck to the plan in your first week really well then your body probably went into shock and so by the second week it was settling down and thats why you gained. SW takes some getting used to and I still get confused with it and make mistakes, thinking something is free when its not! or not realising the syn value until its been munched! Yes it is unusual if everyone in your group gained but then we have just had easter and everyone falls of the wagon at some point. Also if you only have a small group then its not that unusual. If you find going to class is not for you then this forum is great but please dont give up. we are all here supporting you.0 -
petal - dont give up hun! maybe change to another group or just give it another go and be open and honest with the consultant.
my consultant is wonderful she understands when i dnt make it due to work and when i gain as i am like a yo yo!
hard test for me 2moz - travelling to London for work so have to avoid any junk as i like the breakfast on the train and we also get lunch bought for us! i must be good i weigh in on a thursday!
