I had same problem with all my pure white bedding and a red napkin ( from frankie and Bennie with a bit of birthday cake inside.....) Tried everything but nothing would shift that pink colour - the maddening thing was I had done quilt cover, sheets, normal pillowcases, and maddress topper cover and not the pillow cases that match the quilt cover ( bit OCD about what pillow you sleep on!!) had to end up putting cover to the rag bin and it was very streaky too!No Longer addicted to Boots! - Well not today anyway!! :blushing:

I've made a school boy error and somehow washed a blue sock with whites.
The whites now have a tint of blue..
How can i remove this? Is there a product i can add to a wash or are they all ruined?
Thansk, Scott..I would have used my own initiative if someone would have told me to!0 -
Have you tried giving them another wash - this time WITHOUT the blue sock? It does sometimes work. Are they cotton or acrylic items? If cotton, rewash at a slightly higher temperature. If that doesn't work, try soaking in some fresh water with bleach added.
These things are always best tackled before the items dry out.
Good luck - I know it's a right pain in the a$re!0 -

They're in washing again as we speak, i've already put them in at a higher temperature..
They are cotton, well fingers crossed then.. Two of the t-shirts i've not even worn yetI would have used my own initiative if someone would have told me to!0 -
Hi Greensprout,
I hope the second wash does the job but if it doesn't this earlier thread may help: Colour Run Disaster
I'll add your thread to that one later to keep the suggestions together.

I know it isn't very OS, but you can buy sachets of stuff to put in with your wash when you've done this - can't recall what they are called but supermarkets and Wilkinsons sell them, and they are not very expensive......
....you couldn't get them years ago when I put red knickers in the wash with all the (now ex) hubby's jeans & t-shirts......he had to wear pink-tinged jeans to work as he had no others, and got the p*** taken out of him, so he was really mad about it (NOT why we split up though!).The best advice you can give your children: "Take responsibility for your own actions...and always Read the Small Print!"

if the rewash does not do the trick, add a little bleach to the wash.It matters not if you try and fail, and fail and try again; But it matters much if you try and fail, and fail to try again.

Had this problem, the colour run remover did not work but a good soak in bleach did the trick nicely! What is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare0

Dylon sell colour run remover, I've found it very effective in the past. They sell it in larger tescos, next to the Vanish and Oxy etc.
Hope you manage to get the colour out!
