I've added your thread to our existing one on colour run in the washing machine where hopefully you'll find lots of advice.

As the title says, help!
My bro has just put his new karate suit into the wash on a cold wash and it has come out with green dye patches all over it. It has a green tie in the waistband that cannot be removed and green sitching around the edges and they have run.
It's back in the machine now with some gentle bleach and a couple of colour catchers to see if that takes any of it out.
I'm heading to asda soon, does anyone know if there is anything that will help to take the colour out? The suit was £60 so he's keen to save it0 -
Colour Run Remover - not sure if you put it in the machine with it now, used to have to soak the items in a bucket.Over futile odds
And laughed at by the gods
And now the final frame
Love is a losing game0 -
Personally, if it cost £60 and the belt ran the first time it was washed then I'd be taking it back to the shop (assuming all of the washing instructions were followed properly). It seems a bit daft to sell 'unwashable' white sportswear ...0

Knowing how often I wash my son's karate suit I would also be taking it back for a refund.0

I've merged this with an older thread which has loads of ideas
Do let us know what works.
ZipA little nonsense now and then is relished by the wisest men

Hi all.
Just wanted to say thank you for the advice. Have a beautiful black dress with cream crochet top which turned purple when I handwashed it in hot water! Used the dylon colour catcher in machine, ran a normal wash whilst still wet and its all come off. Yay! X

Hoping someone is still looking at this thread that can help!
My husband has new uniform for work, black polyester/spandex shirts with printed red and white logos.
The white is now peach no matter how much soaking and rubbing with a stain remover bar i do.
If i use a colour catcher sheet it just seems to pull more red out and stain the white (i think it's because it's printed on).
I'm reluctant to use anything that might strip the black shirt to white.
Any suggestions??110
