    Thanks zippychick

This thread has been really useful to me, and I'm glad I'm not the only one who's done this.

Dylon color run remover seems to be well recommended here - is it just as good on items which are not all white to start with? My told was black, grey and white to start with. The white is now pale blue...

  • I have a different problem (I think)....I washed something black with my hubby's prized rugby shirt (he doesn't play, just wears it!)....the shirt is red with a white collar...the collar is now a horrid grey colour...what can I do?

  • Hi,

I washed my favourite white/cream cotton blouse with a red sweater. I used a colour run remover. It was quite successfull but still, there is some sort of pink tones to the fabric. Do you reckon I shall use a whitener now to "dye" it back cream ? Shall I do another colour run wash ? Maybe a little bleach ? How to proceed ??
The accident happened last week and my blouse is dry now...and PINK !

    Please, help me !!

    Thank you
  • I have washed my whites not realizing there was a pair of jeans hiding in the machine. So all my whites are now blue.

Does anyone know if there is a way of making them white again?

    Thanks.

Re-wash them at the highest temp that the fabric-contents will allow. If no better you might have to resort to chlorine bleach. I know you can get those "colour-catcher" things but I haver no experience of them but maybe a first go with that might be an idea,

Dr Beckman's rescue remedy takes the colour run out. In the supermarket in the washing powder, stain remover bit. I always keep one in, just in case.
I wanna be in the room where it happens

Thy this http://www.ecover.com/gb/en/Products/Laundry/Laundry+Bleach.htm I am sure you can get it in Tesco I used to buy it cheap from ebay, ariels new stain remover - the powder one is very good - if not try napisan - cheap as chips or soda crystals or vinegar - all the cheaper options last resort would be vanish whites but I think its expensive. The Ecover one works best when you can dry outside on a sunny day

    Hi everyone,

My husband just reported that while being at home he washed clothes and my best pink cotton T-shirt is now stained with black stains, obviously from washing it together with dark clothes. Is there anything I will be able to do when I come hyome or it is ruined?
