I agree Crazy. If things were exactly as Igloo has stated, then I can't see any reason why not to take skintchick up on her offer. It would be good to read Tesco's response.Herman - MP for all!0

I assume that Igloo still hasn't had a response from Tesco Head Office?? Or maybe they've issued a gagging order!You don't get medals for sitting in the trenches.0

Well I really thought I had the coupon policy problem licked.... agreed at head office, confirmed with the store itself. Monday - used a load of coupons no problem, today.....one coupon - total.
Cue team leader, customer service manager......and the usual pretty much ignoring of anything I say in defence of their own "policy". Of course the person I spoke to at the store who said they'd accept coupons was not in to check with. If she says sorry, I was mistaken.....I won't be happy, but I'll be totally fuming if she denies saying it. Person at tesco HO didn't log the call either. I was so miffed I left them with the unpaid shopping (inc. 3 beef
).
So now.......once again, it's with HO....who, as it stands, seem to agree with me. They are going to check the definitive policy with corporate, and speak to my local store....
I've also asked them to confirm if this is something that can be overturned locally, and if so why bother having a national customer help line giving advice on such matters.
Just waiting and wondering now.
As is pretty evident, regardless of what the actual policy finally turns out to be....everyone at tesco has their own take on it which helps nobody.0 -

RufusA wrote:I often see products nearly double in price and get shown as BOGOF! Before 4 weeks later appearing as "50% off" at their original price without the BOGOF.
A salmon product at Sainsburys used to literally alternate between BOGOF and 50% off every few weeks. Only snag was when opting for home shopping they often only deliver 1 when the BOGOF was running despite ordering two!
I have formed the conclusion that BOGOF is used to hike prices to get round the "higher price for 28 days in the last 6 months" law on pricing without denting sales. Never take a BOGOF or price reduction at face value!
YMMV - Rufus.
Yes I've noticed that often when a product goes onto a bogof offer the price seems to increase...strange that :think:Saving for Disney again, oops why book one Disney holiday when you can book two!:starmod: Emergency Fund Savings - #148 - £10/£1000 1% :starmod::xmastree:#083 SPC6 £63 - SPC7 £90 - SPC8 £63 - SPC9 £54 - SPC10 £26 - SPC12 £70 :xmastree:0 -

I trust you will do a proper job and get Tesco's side of the story as well?0 -

CrazyChemist wrote:If you're a security guard, perhaps you could explain whether customers' pictures are taken from CCTV and shown to staff to watch out for them?
I got some cheese refunded the other day because I was overcharged, now, I seem to be treated like some criminal. Hope you can confirm/deny this truthfully...
Customers not as a rule of thumb, you would have to be coming up as flagged by a manager or a customer service worker as someone they belive might be abusing the system. Theifs etc most certainly are, the police come in for pictures and also bring in folders of people to look out for, we also send the pictures to any store in our cluster too. The photos aren't generally viewing by any general staff.
There would be no reason for you to be flagged, as refunds for overcharging is a day to day thing. Staff sometimes can spread a dislike for a customer if you go looking for such errors a lot though.0
