Csarina - don't forget that the 10% tax band also disappears in April, though they do take the 22% down to 20% it doesn't help the real low earners.
DG
We are fortunate in that respect, we do not pay tax....OH's number is 662T so theoretically he can earn £6000 a year before paying tax, but that does not help the low paid whose tax will go up.............they will be worse off.Was 13st 8 lbs,Now 12st 11 Lost 10 1/4lbs since I started on my diet.0 -

Hi everyone. been out of the loop for a day or so. Really busy at the moment with work-though we took nearly half a day off yesterday as some silly workman cut through an electric cable and half the town had no electric-they didn't expect it to come back on til late yesterday afternoon so me and OH decided to come home -well before the kids were due home!!! coz you can't run an internet based business with no internet and in the dark!!!
I must admit it was nice to just relax and spend some time doing nothing!!!
We both went in early today to catch up with the stuff that we didn't manage to do yesterday.
Just about to have a cuppa before I do the potatoes and veg for tea-chicken is in the sc.
(((hugs))) to all who need or want them.GE 36 *MFD may 2043

Hi, this is the Daily Thread for 6th March 2008. This is an “over the garden fence” type thread where we chat about everything OS and maybe a little bit more. It’s a great, inspiring and motivating thread we start each day to discuss what we’re going to do today or what we’ve achieved already. Everyone’s welcome, please do come in, put your feet up (although check the fence hasn’t just been painted first!) and join us for an OS natter. The more the merrier!
When you make a post, if you feel like giving it a title, that will help others that don’t have the time to read everything skim through the thread quickly but if not it's not a problem, we’re a laid back bunch here so you won’t hear any complaints. Please do not start a new daily thread before you go to bed at night because this often leaves things confusing with two daily threads live at the same time. The idea is that a member would start each new daily thread after they get up in the morning
Some people who chat here like to try to answer everyone. Don’t feel you have to though, a general “hi everyone, hope everyone’s well” type start does just as well.
Hi guys
Where are you. Diodn't expect to start things off today as usually you early risers are in here!
Up and at it early (haven't actually been to bed as fell asleep in the study and just woken up)! Now going for shower as off to DDs until Saturday to let the kitchen happen.
Please take care and thinking of you all.

Have I only been asleep a couple of hours then? Thought it was morning! Just realised it is getting dark outside - Oh dear!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
