Please can I Have a GGGGGGGGGRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR

When we moved in here the cooker was in a disgusting state, I asked if the council would pay to have it cleaned, but instead they gave us a new cooker. I hate the damn thing with a passion. The eye level grill is so low, if you have the grill pan in position and you try to take something off the back burners you poke your eye out. The grill pan is not stable, ours fell out the other week. You cannot use a 3 tier steamer on it, its impossible to get the steamer under the grill supports.......

It has a solid hob you cannot tell if a plate is on or not until its burned......tonight I cooked the fricassee for supper and put some cous cous, water, parsley and lemon in a pan, added the boiling water and left it to stand, did not realise the blasted plate was on and have neded up with a pan of burnt cous cous which is stinking the apartment out.

This is the offending thing.................as soon as I can afford to I am going to buy my own cooker. I have just kicked over another cup of tea, the second this week on the chinese rug, I am so fed up...............

Well best laid plans of today did not materialise. I started by ring BT for a MAC to change my broadband, no problems. Then on to Talk Talk to discuss what they had sent me for the theoreticaly "free broadband". Oh no they say cannot be free until July. Oh said I, you have lied to me then! This after a 15 minute delay (free call) to them. By the time this was finished then it was lunch time, thought about going but decided that the only reason for going today was the 20% off BHS, and I didn't really see anything I was excited by yesterday so was not really much point, hence Matalan and Tesco+Boots put off for another day. Spent the rest of the day inbetween doing other jobs looking into car insurance - £550 best we can do with DS on the policy, and trying to figure out the best way to go for broadband/phone. Talk-Talk ringing me back tomorrow for negotiations to continue . This MS is hard work!

I just typed a loooooong post and it got eaten:confused:

I can't face doing it again so only the important bits here:D

I had a lovely long meet with ivyleaf today:D We met at our favourite little haunt for coffee then lunch, and it only took 4 hours:rotfl: :rotfl: Well, there was a lot to catch up with, and dear ivyleaf treated me, so a thoroughly nice day:D

elona, glad your arm is healing, hopefully it will do so quickly now.

catznine, sorry to hear of DD's trouble, hope she regains her confidence soon. DS's GF was mugged by 2 men a couple of weeks ago and is still suffering. Makes me so mad!!!

busygirl, such a relief DD has got the school you all wanted.

Oh and I wanted to say to stefejb, the reason you have a DD18 to be so proud of is because she has a lovely mother who must be a fantastic example and inspiration to her :D

Off for a look round, then very soon have to cheer my team on tonight, especially as DH and DSs team got through last night:rolleyes:

    Have a good evening,
    CMx

aaaaah - tears in my eyes now. She had a call from a connexions lady to day to say she is setting up a sort of club for very young mums - there will be childcare, free travel and a £50 bonus if she attends - the idea is to help them with job and/or college hunting. She is really excited which is great news as she is normally very shy and reserved when it comes to new situations and will hopefully encourage her to get out a bit more. it will be good for dgs3 as well who thinks himself quite the big man of the house - she was telling him off for being naughty the other day and he put up his hand and said "calm down mummy - I'm talking now!"

everything else bit dull today - hugs to all :)

such a long day and my head aches (I think it's because I have been working and I'm not keen on hard brain work!!!!!). Busy trying to write a report on solicitors ethics (do we have any I hear you all cry on que!) Got to pick DH up from rugby in 1/2 hour.

Resorted to freezer surprise for dinner - hoping DH is feeling romantic enough to order me into the bath with a magazine and some wine while he does the hoovering - little chance of it happening, but I can dream!

GB - don't worry about the date mix-up, remember that there are 365 unbirtday days this year, so you are bound to get muddled a few times during the year  :D

churchmouse - a 4 hour lunch - i think we would make great pals :D

I've had a dull day as well, dh not back with dd yet, on account of Indian meal in Brum on the way home from Bath Uni. It turns out that all the folk at Bath Uni open day today had all been offered a place there.... and some (including DD) didn't know. Apparently 'UCAS had been a bit slow'. She
was delighted as it's her first choice. Deferred entry till 2009, as she has 'plans' for a gap year. You'll no doubt get to hear about that eventually!

I have time to go and clear up a bit before they get back... so I'd better go!
