  • Tesco in Blackpool have this evening the smoked back bacon priced at 1.58 on pack but 1.38 on shelf . I managed to leave it as I also spotted the multi-pack 4x200g pack of smoked bacon. This was £3.78 on the shelf but £4.42 on the pack. Well it would have been rude not to point out their error! :D

I don't feel bad. I don't see how you would know you've been overcharged unless you specifically look at the prices on the shelf edge and the packs.

Bacon £2.49 on shelf edge and £2.89 on packs, and Healthy Living chicken breasts still priced wrongly at Chorley Tesco today. Freezer's full (of free stuff and beef) unfortunately.

Oh, and the multipack bacon was priced wrongly too - £4.38 on shelf and £4.42 on packs.

BTW, Harry Potter scanned correctly at £7.95.

I think the Harry Potter book may have been the straw for the camels back.

    I wouldn't have dared.
  • I got the big packs of pork, feeds 8. I bought two and my mum bought two. CS was the same one as last time and she just smiled at me and said, "they'll never learn will they? they are arguing out the back who's fault it is". Felt a bit guilty for getting someone into trouble but if they were doing their job properly then it wouldn't have happened. Also noticed lamb chops and pork chops were also priced wrongly but didn't dare buy them too. Think I'll give it a rest for a while, don't want to get greedy. Thanks for this thread, my family will be eating pork for weeks though. :j

My local Tesco (Hartlepool) have never yet had anything wrong. They even have put special stickers on packs which don't match the shelf price to ensure they don't get caught out!!! Damn!!! hehe
Like my avatar, took the photo myself with the free digital camera I bought from boots with all my free points! I love moneysaving.

    Certainly - it was the medium-size packs - about 600g I think?

They are on the middle and bottom shelves, and on the bottom shelf on the left-hand side is a lower-price label than on the product.

Hope it's still there for you when you visit! Check out the cheeses too, and the bacon, and also the Poppycock (near the snacks) - was marked at £1.99, but scanned at £2.99.
