Not sure as I didn't scan one to see which price comes up but if you get charged the .97 and not the .95 then it would fall within the refund and replace policy.

Tesco Horwich have changed their wrong prices by adding stickers to the products - bacon and lamb among them. I did still manage to get some lamb leg steaks though. The CS lady was adamant they had stickered everything, so I took her back to the shelf to show her they'd missed the leg steaks. Shame. £15-odd refund, and a lovely tea in store tonight - can't usually afford lamb!!

I just need to get the facts right as my 'local' Tesco is 17 miles away, but may be worth a look after work.
Is it Tesco company policy that if I am overcharged for an item they will give a full refund and I keep the product.
If so, is this in ALL Tescos or just certain ones.
Also, if for example gammon joints were pack priced at £8.30 but shelf priced at £8.29, and say I put 4 in my trolley, what happens if I'm charged at the lower price, when I don't really want 4 packs of gammon, and was only trying to get them for free. Confused yet? I am!!
As you can probably tell, I'm new to this Tesco overcharge thing!!

it's simple if they overcharge you for anything, go to the cs counter and you will get your moneyback and keep the item free as well.
use the scanners inside the store somewere to check the price of it, but if it meat just make sure your looking at the correct shelf price sticker.

Thanks for that. As I'm not a Tesco shopper, do all stores have the self scan facility or just the larger ones?

you then have a better chance to find something as you all ready know what to be looking for.

And presumably, you need to look for something that's a good few pence cheaper, as the price per pound may be the same, if the price per kg is only a penny out?

I've noticed that of the two scanners in my local Tesco, one has been out of order for almost 2 years now!
