Sainsbury's have pulled a fast one with their Basics Washing Powder. New boxes only contain 2.4kg instead of 3kg!
They box still says "30 washes" and the recommended amount to use has dropped from 100g to 80g. The ingredients have stayed the same except for the amount of phosphates.
Most people wouldn't notice the smaller box and if you are frugal with your powder anyway, it just means you get less washes for your money."Cheap", "Fast", "Right" -- pick two.0 -
Agree with you, it's sneaky - however, you should never use as much wash powder as any manufacturer recommends, anyway. The action of the water is as important in the cleaning of your clothes as powder. We never use more than 50% of the recommended amount - after taking advice from my brother in law who works for Proctor & Gamble.Call me Carmine....

I've just checked with my handy powder measurer (a plastic dessert spoon!), and I've only been using 30g of powder per wash. So I've been gypped out of a full 20 washes ."Cheap", "Fast", "Right" -- pick two.0 -
