I found the Basics Curry Sauce for promotional price at just 4p :rotfl:at Sainsbury's Muswell Hill Branch
Brilliant bargain, even if it does taste rank!
Going back tomorrow to buy some more!!

Tried this week their Basics White Fish Fillets (Pollock) and their white and wholemeal bread - all were very nice and get the thumbs up from me!!!

Tried the basics chocolate mousse pack of 4 for approx 24p or 28p - taste ok to me.

Also the cheese biscuit selection pack for 55p - nothing wrong with that either

Not too sure about the tea bags for 28p - still deciding on these but will drink them anyway!

Anyone tried the basics 2-pack of naan breads? Is this a new product? 59p seems like a very reasonable price.

  • Basics cherries - mmmmmm! A good-sized pack, no stalks, £1 originally (but 50p in the reduced section, even better...)

Yep, they've only been around a few weeks - have bought them a couple of times and they're fine. They are pretty small (just over half the size of the ones I used to get that were £1.09 for a pack of two), but I still make me & OH share one, so it's cost cutting & healthier!
  • Basic green olives 99p. delicious. (only 49 calories per half a pot too)

    Pretty 'healthy' as well:

    per 100g
    Cal 25kCal
    Fat Trace (low)
    Sat Fat Trace (low)
    Sugar 4.5g (low)
    Salt 1.5g (medium)

 It's a jar of pickled onions. What were you expecting it to fail on? :)

Specifically salt and sugar content. Check out the salt and sugar content of many of the brand names and be prepared to eat (hopefully low fat) humble pie, KY. Incidentally, have you set yourself a target of how many posters you intend to annoy today? :p Unless your target was in double figures, I would imagine you are nearing 'mission accomplished' by now....
