My hairdresser calls this Avalanche food as everything is in a white label!!!
Anyway I buy pretty much everything basics and given that this thread is soooooo long you've probably mentioned most things.
Their sweet popcorn is very nice and only 90 calories for a 20g serving (which is a nice full dessert bowl size) so if you like to chomp whilst watching TV I can recommend this. It's not as sickly as say Butterkist which is thick with sugar but more like cinema popcorn.
The one thing I won't try is the Weetabix. Revolting. Stay well away from.
I use their basics Rice Crispies and value chocolate (yum!) to make rice crispie cakes for the kids. Bargain except I end up eating them all!!!
I noticed yesterday they do a Basics Gin. Now I don't drink Gin but it would be really nice if they did a basics vodka or rum :D

No rum but they do Brandy for £7.04.

I went in for a bottle of rum which they didn't have, also wanted an apple pie, which they didn't have!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Ironic, the record playing was the Bob Marley classic, "No rum and no pie" :D

Sorry, whacky mood today, I'll get my pinny on and start the housework.

ok heres what I have tried recentl
loose Apples - really really good only 64p a kg!!!
    Jaffa cakes - very nice
chocolate Digestives- very nice indeed def a bargain at 33p
    lemons-too small
    kiwis -too small
tomato sauce- not the best but ok
brown sauce- tastes ok but comes out the bottle in lumps!
Basic cream cleaner - too runny

Biggest surprise for me was the teabags, I am really really fussy when it comes to tea. I thought these would be disgusting but they are not bad at all, I still prefer the brown label but these are a bargain for 28p , they are quite strong which is good.

49p last time I ordered and deffo a billy bargain. 4p per pack! And like you say comparitively healthy for crisps.

@shoperholicnot - re: the brown sauce. What we have done with both the brown and tomato sauces is decant it into a Heinz squeezy bottle and voila - no coming out in lumps (and great for blind taste testing with the kids!). :D

One of the few home made gifts I can do for my sister in law is home made chilli vodka - though I am a little heavy handed on the chillies :o

Also fresh ginger chopped up with a little sugar added - positively medicinal - drink with ginger ale and caution.

I have had a bad experience with their value rice. It smelled extremely odd, tasted peculiar and is currently being ignored by the birds.

What do you do to make chilli vodka - do you chop them all up? how long do you leave it for? etc

I love chillies and I can imagine it is great in a bloody mary.
    Looking forward to the future.
