I've tried most brands over the years with varying success, they're either too expensive (I cannot justify the cost of Gillette blades for example) or rip pieces of my face off (the latest being Lidl's effort at producing a 'premium' razor). However, the Basics disposables have given a clean and comfortable shave and although I do have to shave more frequently, there's no blood loss! Admittedly the handle is a little flimsy but for the cost they are definitely worth a try - just remember to make sure you prepare yourself properly before you shave!
Agree 100% here. Have also had the misfortune to try Lidl's disposable razors, and had to resort to shaving before bed to give my face time to heal for work in the morning!
The Basics ones are excellent value at (I think) 14p for 5? They're not the best razors you'll ever try, but they are pretty easy on your skin and are a brilliant budget alternative to the usuals.0 -
basics mince 400g has gone up from 96p to £1.20!
if you don't mind a bigger pack, you're better off buying mince at aldi - £2.40 for 1kg. sainsbury's works out at £3 per kg0 -
I nipped into sainsburys in the retail park - never normally go but my DS had an "accident" so I needed some pull ups quick and couldnt see his usual brand so bought some value pull ups and we've had no leaks at all they're really good! 18 for £2.99 thats about half the price of the ones we were using and they're much better.0

Got my first big shop from sainsburys today and am so far impressed with their basic range I bought the 400g wafer thin ham and corned beef slices and they are half the price and much tastier I also got the coleslaw which is a bit watery but still nice, pasta and crisp snacks and biscuits. They all look really good for a "value" range0
