Sainsbury's Basics good/bad items

Last time I checked Sainsbury and Asda Muesli was 94pence against Tesco 65pence kg.

If you tip the coleslaw out and add a grated carrot it soaks up more of the dressing and tastes far better too:)
I do this with all 'value' coleslaws, they end up tasting much nicer then more expensive ones, and cheaper than making from scratch. Also add anything else you have a bit of, red onion, pepper, whatever.
Btw I think Sainsburys is the best of the value coleslaws.

The biscuits from the basics range are really nice, esp the cookies. I use to always take them to festivals! The tomato pasta sauce is naasssty as hell, stay away!

I was so shocked to discover this when I went to buy my spag bol ingredients the other day! I was like :eek:

The 4 pack of toilet rolls are 70p now! I remember when they were 30-something.
At that price, the 6 double-length rolls for £2 are slightly better value.

The £2 Basics loo roll is also better value than Tescos "Value" range.
