Basics chocolate digestives are good but I haven't bought them for some months so the price may now be more than the 27pm I last paid for 300g.

The rice pudding is great, not too sweet. Half a tin (1 serving) is just right and comes in at <200cals per serving.

Basics sweet & sour sauce is nasty :( , but the curry sauce is really quite good for the price. I also find the kitchen towel quite decent enough for my needs.
The bigger the bargain, the better I feel.

I should mention that there's only one of me, don't confuse me with others of the same name.

i love basics! they save a fortune.

the crumpets are great, my kids love them! we also have the pasta, rice, jam, marmalade, honey, beans, chicken, chops, all the biscuits, brie (sooo yummy!).

hated the mini roll cakes. choc ones just about bearable, but the plain sponge...bleurgh!!

this thread has given me the confidence to try more though, esp squash....am looking forward to seeing what i can find!
Finally stopped lurking and took the MSE leap!
Always on the look out for a bargain and freebies!

The basics 4x yoghurts (29p)are now in rubbish packaging and only in peach and strawberry flavour, no black cherry which used to be nicer! Black cherry is now available in their other own brand yoghurts which are more expensive
