I just wrote this review of some of the basics products www . dulwichmunchies . blogspot . com/2011/03/putting-basics-to-test .html but I've recently also tried the basics OJ from the fridge and it was really nice. My OH turned his nose up to it, but I liked it. I bet if I'd put it in a jug he wouldn't have noticed :P0

The Basics Spread is nearly same price as other 'branded' makes.
Basics Sandwich spreads/paste are very tasty.
Stopped buying Basics wine as there have been 2 price rises since new vat rate.0 -
I bought a jar of Basics mustard for the first time at the weekend - for only 39p I have no complaints."If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"0

Tried 3 pack of Basics Cornish Pasties. Very nice and all for 99p.0

The Sweet & Sour sauce is only 25p so I tried it. It was Ok though I'm not a great fan of S & S anyway so I probably won't buy it much.
If you normally like it I would certainly suggest trying it.0 -
I think that I must be the only person who doesn't like the tea bags. I tried them last year & thought that they were ok, then bought PG again when basics were OOS & really noticed the difference. The next time I tried the basics I couldn't drink it, maybe the taste can change with each batch.
I always buy the nappy sacks for dog poo bags, 9p for 100 bags.
Brie is good.0 -

Brie is good.
Your not alone. I can taste the difference in them and have had friends do taste-tests on me too to prove it! It just tastes heavier and more dull to me which I don't like. Each to their own as others prefer these to PG tips and others (currently liking fresh leaf tea from Borough Market)0 -
The tea bags are on a fine balance - if you don't give them enough time they are weak and tasteless
if you give them too long they are too heavy and strong -
if you get the brewing time just right they are acceptable0 -
I love the tea bags.0

I wanted to, I so wanted to but I couldn't. They tasted stale to me.
It's a good job we aren't all the same or they would hike the prices up on them.0
