Probably in part because they are moving towards "green" rated tuna, which means it is fished in areas where populations are sustainable. Probably a price worth paying IMHO.

brought the salad cream today usually buy asda smart price and will not be buying basics one again - first basics product not been impressed with its a strange colour, consitency and bizarelly tastes of not alot other then vinegar.

the tightwad in me though will mix it with some smart price rather than chuck it!

I also think the basics brie is nice.

basics ketchup seems to have improved recently. it used to be runnier, but is now thicker and very yum. I wouldnt use anything else.

also, 4 x basics fruit yoghurts are now 15p in my store, down from 27p. yay.

Tried basics mixed salad last week and it's what it says on the packet! Much cheap than the other pre packed bags and it did me and my OH. Also go the basics salad dressing. Not the best one I've ever add but it tastes ok and it actually quite low fat when compared to the higher brands!
