  • Basic Cashew Nuts are cheaper than Tesco, and well what can really go wrong with a nut?
Basic Nappy Bags - 29p for 100 bags! I bought so many during the last Little Ones sale I think they will take my 4 month old up through potty training. Also cheaper than Tesco.

Basics onion chutney - 80p per jar. I think it's lovely, bought it on Saturday night and it's nearly all gone, I've been using it with everything :) Will definately become a staple in our house!
D'you know, in 900 years of space and time, I've never met anyone who wasn't important

    the cheap 9p noodles

According to the website, they don't exist

    http://www.sainsburys.co.uk/groceries/index.jsp

Has anyone got a link or the full name of the product, please?

(Just noticed that the link above doesn't look good - it works for me but maybe that's cache. It should lead to the aisle: Rice, Pasta, Noodles >>> Noodles.)

They may not be available in your store. Type in instant noodles in the Sainsbury's search box (works for me). They are available in chicken & curry flavour.
  • Hi,

    I have a few Sainsbury's Basics recommendations:

    - Hot chocolate
    - Sanitary towels
    - Muffins
    - Crunchy salad

I find these products to be cheap and good value for money :-)

I like their basic tinned fruit salad in natural juice, excellant value at around 34p a tin and full of different fruit not just lots of pineapple or pears like a lot of tins.On holiday recently my friend brought some of their basic equivellant to Kit Kats and they were very good she said about 79p for a big packet I also thought their cling film wrap was good as it doesn't all go into a static bunch and can't be got off the roll.I hate it when that happens.
I do love sainsburys low fat ginger nuts they are just so nice and more like cookies than biscuits they are quite thick.
My favorite sainsbobs thing isn't cheap though so I only buy lots when its on 'managers special' and that's their aberdeen angus steaks they just melt in the mouth and I stock up when reduced from £22 odd a kilo down to £11 a kilo.My local sauinsburys have a brilliant meat counter and also their fish reductions are very good on a Saturday afternoon I once got a whole salmon for £7.00 and the chap gutted it and topped and tailed it for me then cut it into steak sized pieces so I could freeze them when I got home I give my local store 10/10 for customer service they are brilliant
  • I had basic salmon, wouldnt recommend it
