Basic cream cheese is good, also all basic choc especially the plain. I also like basic marmalade [grumpy says it is too sweet for him]. We have also had the basic pot noodles, [use these for OS winter picnic when we go out for the day, we take a flask of boiling water, tea bags, basics milk powder, packet basics choc digestives or home made fruit cake, a couple of bananas].

Has anyone tried the basics washing up liquid. It is in a bottle like the old Fairy liquid, which can be useful.

Just a note to say I used some of the basics dark chocolate for baking yesterday and it was really good - not at all bad for 27p a bar!
  • I use the basics washing up liquid. Most of my dishes are done in the dish washer but what I clean by hand it does a great job on. Cheap and cheerful!
