Tried the Basics Milk Chocolate yesterday - it was great. Will buy it again and will try the White Chocolate as well.

I also tried the Basics Toilet Cleaner - not sure to be honest - turned a bit of a funny colour after I had left it around the rim of the toilet - will use it up though.

    I've been Money Tipped!
I dont like sainsburys canned items, especially the veg and even going up to the next lowest price are horrible. i have to pay for bonduelle cans or frozen veg.
the juice that comes in milk cartons is nice though. and i use there own toilet roll. the sweets arent nice neither. but my house mate swears by alot of there things like sausages, pizzas and frozen pies.
it might not be much, but its better than a kick in the teeth:rotfl:

  • The milk chocolate isn't my fav but its great for an everyday treat and for topping treats and baking. They used to do basics chewing gum but seem to have stopped in my nearest branch but if you see it then its worth trying. It looses flavor slightly quicker than extra but was so much cheaper it didn't really matter!

Has anyone noticed the chopped tomatoes aren't in tins anymore? grr. They're in packaging my council doesn't recycle! I'm so annoyed at them, the peeled tomatoes are in tins and 2p cheaper. I think I'll be getting the chopped tomatoes elsewhere now. (unless they have an offer of the other TINNED chopped tomatoes)

Just get whole ones and chop them yourself. I often do this if I've run out of chopped ones. Of course the drawback is that you can't get them with added herbs etc., but you can always put your own in. Basics herbs probably cost 1p a go.
    :D I haven't bogged off yet, and I ain't no babe :D
