I tried their Basics stir fry pack the other week. Packet was far too big for just one meal for two of us but it was still greatI have a gift for enraging people, but if I ever bore you it'll be with a knife

Has anyone tried any of the soups? have a tinned cream of chicken soup (amazingly way lower in calories then I had thought it would be!) but am too chicken to try it!
Any tried and tested reviews?0 -
The cream of tomato soup tastes great.0

Both the chicken and tomato soup are surprisingly good and I am very fussy -They are a little less thick but that is to be expected - before it had to be Heinz.0

Thanks so much to everyone who mentioned the white choc cos on your recommendations i tried it today and it's AMAZING.yumyum!
i think the basics yogurts (4 @ 29p) are so much better then any other value yogurts, particularly as they're 2% fat rather then ultra low fat so a bit thicker and yummier.
i tried the cheese, potato and onion pasties (99p for 3) today and was really impressed.the pastry's good and there's a nice amount of filling too.oh and the 10 pack of sultana scones is fab just for a midweek nibble with a cup of tea.
has anyone tried the laundry liquid?i nearly did today but wasn't sure so left it in the end.0 -
I have also tried the white chocolate - today in fact - and like the poster above can confirm it's great....Mortgage FreeSave £5,000 in 2020[CENTER:j0

I bought the wheatabix for breakfast last week and well you get LOADS there's about 3 weeks worth of cereal in the box and tastes great.Annual Grocery Budget £364.00/£1500

I bought some of their snack crackers last week and was impressed. They're a bit like Tuc biscuits but thinner and less salty (although still quite high in fat). They're 54p a packet (I think) and they're not bad at all.0

I bought the basics 'Weetabix' too! They are really good - and amazingly cheap. I'm working my way through some of the basics, bought the cashew nuts; I think 200g for £1.09? About half the price of 'brands', will use in a stir fry soon.
The mushrooms are good, you need to clean them but when you put them in your cooking what does it matter what they look like?0
