Basics razors...13p for 5. No good for shaving. I just use for trimming sideburns and lose hairs missed by electric razor.

To name but a few I enjoy...
Basics egg bites, like mini scotch eggs...I brought them to the office, and they were gone in a day! Seriously delicious.
Our Basics kettle lasted well over 3 years, a steal at around £5 when we bought it. We have another after the auto-turn off on the old one sadly stopped working...but that was 3 years of heavy use!
Basics chocolate truffle balls, delicious, moreish and one of my favourites.
Basics Nice, ginger snaps, shortcake, biscuit selection and digestives all highly recommended.
Basics Peanuts - smaller but so what? Delicious!
    Moneysaver and proud :)
  • Just tried the basic mince beef in a spag bol - it was really nice. All I did was through it into slow cooker with jar of ragu red wine & herb sauce (was on offer last week) and left all day. Had it with basic spagetti.

Also had the basic beef the other night and again that was nice done in slow cooker

We have the part baked baguettes every Sunday morning with bacon - they are great - can't tell any difference and a lot cheaper .... :T

I wouldn't be suprised if they were the same product as the standard one, only with different printing on the wrapping.

The appearance of the product is the same, even down to the same pattern of markings on the base of the bread where it was part baked. The packaging style / seal is the same.

The ingredient list is identical to the normal one.

The nutritional information is almost identical. I think one may have two less calories, but that may be down to variations in testings on the day.

And more importantly in a blind tasting with my family, they couldn't tell them apart!

Definitely going to be switching to basics part-baked from now on.

  • Fed 3 kids with a basics cheese and tomato pizza last week - and they loved it!

Basics hummus went down very well too!

The Basics cashew nuts have much less salt in them than the ordinary ones which are are too salty IMO.

Choc chip cookies were really nice! Good and chunky and golden, not many choc chips in but still tasted lovely.

Garlic bread - not very garlicky. Can get better for not much more in places like Heron.

Dark chocolate was lovely too, tastes better than some expensive stuff I've had. Tastes quite tangy/fruity (??) almost but is delicious
D'you know, in 900 years of space and time, I've never met anyone who wasn't important

  • Basics butter is good. Basics potatoes are also fine.

Agree with you there that the butter is good - perhaps that's why the price of this product has been slowly creeping up.
How much? You're having a laugh!
