hi all new poster here i work for sainsburys so just giving you a heads up this week were pushing all the basic lines so watch out for the adverstising most people dont see the basic lines (usually bottom shelf im guessing the plans come like that to stop people noticing them and buying a higher price product )they will be labeled switch and save orangy/red colour also dont forget to get your free recipe cards ps watched an instore dvd other week and was amazed to learn that most basics are just the same as the most expensive version especially meat/fish ect just not perfect size and shape
i dont like basic apples (bagged ) or basic cheese (plasticy ) oh and my wheel was stiff and nearly broke a finger opening that leftover box !! had a laugh making that big cardboard fridge that was used for displaying the leftover boxes if you work in a nursey or school it would be perfect for kids to play with just go in and ask them to save it we save all sorts of advertising gave the stig away the other day !! and nephew had some full sized footballers on his bedroom wall lol0 -

- pineapple is not too bad and its in juice
- peaches in juice are good at the momment but they go through bad patches mid year
- grapefruit is very good, its in juice and is just as tasty as the brand one
- low fat yogurts are great and if you strain them they make great desserts.
- tinned tomatoes can be as good as premium brand but sometimes you get a tin that is not as good but not often enough not to but Basic
- sparkling water is nice itsnot harsh fizz but this means that it goes flat quicker
- fresh mushrooms and to be honnest most of the fruit and veg is very good.

Sainsburys own brand (not basic) rice crispies won in a blind tester test against Kelloggs and are over half the price!!
Basics, we love the basics biscuits, the 4 pack for 88p taste just as nice as the normal own brand and the choc digestives 36p are very nice too, always on my shopping list!
Part baked bagettes (spell) are nice and so are tinned tomatoes and basics oranges (small ones)0 -
