I'm not very good at succinct. Why say something in 10 words when 100 will do?

As children we used to love dipping chips into Mc Donalds strawberry milkshake. Sounds gross but I thought I'd give it a go as an adult to see whether it was just some mad childhood taste.
Tried it last week and have to say it still tastes really nice. Convinced my very unwilling partner to give it a go and even he had to admit it tasted good. Now that is a wierd combo.0 -
I don't see the point in having chips if they're not crisp. If you like moist potatoes, make mash!0

We used to have oxtail soup and home cooked chips for tea,. Mmmm, yummy with lots of salt and vinegar on and dipping bread in it. That was in the 60's and 70's and we lived in Lancashire. Don't knock it till you have tried it folks, I think the soup went in the bowl first and chips on top. Thanks for bringing back that memory. Might do that one night next week for tea.M&S 2,200.00

Tomato Soup and chippy chips are great but home made chips are good too
Fruity curry over fish is nice proper mushy peas are so hard to find
(experienced these in the land that doth smell of Widnes)
I also put crisps into soup any flavour im not fussy but only into tomato soup and beef broth soupmmmm crunch up the crisps
wotsits are good to just throw on top
also I dont eat soup with bread and buttertoast all the way
Love is the answer. At least for most of the questions in my heart,
Like why are we here? And where do we go?And how come it's so hard?
It's not always easy,And sometimes life can be deceiving,
I'll tell you one thing, its always better when we're together0 -
Used to work in London with a girl whose mum used tomato soup as a gravy. I had it round at hers as gravy on sausage and mash and it was strangely nice!!!!2012 Saving challenge £1000/£400! Woo! :wave:0

I order chips and soup in restaraunts at lunchtime (and the college canteen, come to think of it!).... none of my family think it's weird, and i've seen my brother order it reasonably recently and I rememebr being miffed i'd gone for the 'normal' main course!
I've also had my fair share of crisps and soup.....very few of the suggestions (except Maccy D's - barf!!) one above seem weird to me! :rotfl::j0 -
Never heard of chips and soup, may have to try it though.
I always have fish, chips, mushy peas and gravy from the chippie, the gravy goes over the chips and peas.Proud to be dealing with my debts
