Morning All
Up early again but did sleep better, so cant moan.
DH & DD are off to the zoo today. Im going to have to stay at home though which Im abit upset about but would be very unfair to DD if I did come as bones/joints etc are very painful today. I use a wheelchair etc but think it will be nice for them two to spend some quality time together. I was going to make them a packed lunch but thought stuff it!! They can take £15 out the kitty jar as an emergency and buy themselves a KFC (both their favs!) and drinks for the day etc. DD never asks for much, so will be a treat and will be 1st take away for the holidays (last year it would have been the opposite  ) So not going to be much of a money saving day, but £15.00 is cheap compared to some other stuff they could do. OH only costs £4 as he is a carer and DD has a years membership (£15), so even with a tenner pertrol-Total cost for the day including KFC & drinks=£29 and enough petrol for a few days too  DD loves the shop there and is quite reasonable too and as she is a gold membershe gets a further 10% off..lol.
Anyway, 2 washloads to do and be hung out, DW emptied, floors swept, toilet cleaned.
I have 2 films that I would like to watch but will see how I feel. Has anyone been watching money spinners on a BBC at 10am...its not too bad, not as much money saving as we could all do though
Lunch is left over plate from roast chicken dinner last night and tea is sausage cassarole and jacket spud.
Have a great day everyone.

'Morning everyone :hello:
Raining here too. Last night we had beautiful weather, and after all the chat about blackberries and jam making, OH and I spend a lovely hour picking blackberries and then came home and made blackberry jam. We now have 2 X 2lb jars of the lovely stuff
OH wants to go and pick some more so that we can keep going with jam throughout the winter months - don't think it will be today though given the weather.
Job interview today, just taking it as it comes (and trying not to get stressed). They'll either like me or they won't. Got up early and pressed all my clothes. OH is driving me there and will read a book whilst he waits. He is great support.
Don't know what I'll do for the rest of the day - probably just chill out
Have a lovely OS day everyoneEnjoying an MSE OS life0 -
I'm going for a relaxing back massage (1/2 hour) at the beauty salon I go to then home to bed to try to recover from my virus I have had for 13 days now  not sleeping (new kitten wakes me up at an ungodly hour!) and then tummy trouble kicks in so I have to stay up. It's raining heavily here today so I will just stay home and rest and try to get something achieved
not sure what though!

DD is off on holiday today - SIL is coming to pick her up at some point. All I know is that SIL said "We'll be long gone by 5"
JUst about every item of clothing DD has is waiting on my bed to be packed - again it looks like she will be borrowing my little suitcase (think handluggage size) as she wants to take her puddlebusters (Wellingtons to those who don't watch "Gordon the Garden Gnome" on Cbeebies
) and she might be going out for a meal tonight for her great-aunts birthday which is today so she needs an outfit for that  I really can't wait until she is able to wear the same outfit for more than one day then maybe packing may take less time/space/clothing!
I need to go out shopping at some point as we need milk, coke and a new bulb for the fridge. As its pouring with rain, I'll wait until DD has left and then nip to the local shops before OH comes home. I need to make up tea (cheesey potato pie just like in school  ) that I started last night, sort out the last few items of ironing (fresh from washing yesterday otherwise it would all have been done!), get stuff to go to OHs work together so it can either go, be ebayed or binned but I want my understairs cupboard back! The weather forecast is for it to brighten up later so I might fit a wash load of towels in, if it doesn't brighten up I'll put them on the maiden in DD's bedroom (which always seems to become a laundry room when shes away :shhh: ). I guess I should also clean through the house so I know that its done. Oh well, I better finish my cup of tea and get on with it _pale_Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!0 -
:hello: Morning everyone :hello:
Well, last night was most exciting as I listed a couple of items to sell on ebay for the very first time. Similar items were selling well above what I thought they would, so I will keep my fingers crossed that the market doesn't bottom out in the next 6 days! OH thought that it was so exciting that he's given me a lot of specialist books to sell.
OH was standing over my shoulder last night when I was tapping away on yesterday's thread. He was most annoying asking questions like "What does OH mean?" "What have you told them about me?" He thinks he's great now!
Anyway, I've got butterflies in my stomach. At 9am I've got to ring this letting agency and see if they will allow me to take this house that we haven't seen yet. It's in such a nice town and on such a nice development that we both SO want it.
After that, I'm driving to meet some friends from uni as we're meeting up to go round an RSPB reserve. One of my friend's mad 6 year old daughter will be there and she's pretty crazy and hyper-active - she'll definitely keep us all entertained!
Have a good day all.

Hi everyone,
I've not posted on this thread before though I've been reading it for ages and you all sound really productive!!!
I've got washing to do as 2 youngest are going to Grandma's tomorrow until saturday.
I'm afraid to admit that I use the tumble dryer for my clothes. Not very old style! But we have a lodger at the moment and I don't have a spare room anymore and I just don't think he needs to see my knickers and goodness knows what else!!!
We also use so much electricity with my husbands servers... that I've found me using the dryer doesn't actually add anything noticeable to the bill!
Thought I might cook up some meals and freeze them as well so I can use up all spare bits of veg and things and see what we've got food wise for this week before doing the shopping.0 -
Hi everyone!
Alas, didn't manage any blackberrying at the w/e, but was given some eating apples from an elderly tree in Mum's garden, which, like LearningToSave, will sort through, puree and freeze this pm hopefully.
One load of laundry in the machine, quick whip round, and vacuuming at lunchtime. Paperwork this evening I think, whilst OH dashes out to Tesco. OK, better get my teeth stuck into paid work.0
