Morning all and :hello: :hello: :hello: to CHURCHMOUSE.
We have a hard frost here but it's lovely and sunny at the moment.
SMOKY and JACKIE0 - thinking of you both.
REDRUBY - hope things are going well for you.
Congratulations to LINDSAYANN and to STEF.
Good Luck to all those waiting to hear about school choices - I hope everyone gets the place they want for their LOs. When my two were at school (they're now 36 and 26 so that's many summers ago!) we didn't have that problem. Schools weren't over-subscribed like they are these days. It must be a real nightmare and would have caused me a lot of anxiety.
SUNNYDAY - like you, I feel really lucky to have found such good friends on here. At times of need, I have always received such wonderful support and, although I read a lot of other threads (I never join those that descend into arguments, though, only the friendly ones; I don't like upsets!), you will never find that on this one. I get the feeling that, if we were all to meet up at one big party, we would all get along like the proverbial house on fire. We all seem to be on the same wavelength, don't we?
Well, DH has just left - it took a while to get his car started; it needs new glow plugs apparently, so it doesn't like the cold mornings. I thought he'd have to take mine but he got it going in the end. I want to go to the gym today and it is definitely too far to walk! I also need to nip out for some bread flour and my local shop does not sell it.
Anyway, I'm off to put the WM on and clear up the breakfast things, clean the bathroom, have a quick tidy up and make a couple of cakes (DH has eaten the ones I made on the weekend!) and then, once I have been to the gym and the shops, I intend spending the rest of the day sorting out my fabrics and doing some knitting. I might even treat myself to the '3 Creme Eggs for £1' in Martin's Newsagents (because we have polished off the huge box of choccies I got for Mothering Sunday! I hasten to say that I will not eat them all - well, I'll try not to! I may give one to DH - or not!
I've just realised that I still have some M & S vouchers which I received on my birthday in September so I shall treat myself to a mooch around there tomorrow morning and, because it's next door to a Sainsbury's with its own bakery, I shall ask for some fresh yeast. I don't go into that Sainsbury's by choice because it is so huge and I don't like superstores very much but it'll be worth it to get some yeast for free!
Anyway, I'm off now to start on the chores so will see you all later.
Have a great day, everyone.

Morning all. It's freezing here too, and really frosty, but very pretty outside.
Currant buns worked really well, which was great - OH doesn't like raisins and still ate them even though there was alternative cake. Probabaly quiche for tea ot stuffed aubergines, depending on how quickly I get home and what veg has to be eaten! Bought lots of cheap veg in Lidl at the weekend, so might put some veg soup on in the slow cooker - did chicken soup at the weekend and still have some stock to use.
OH was having a stress last night because he's lost his national identity card, he phoned the German embassy but they can only cancel it between the hours of 1.30 and 3.30pm so he has to phone back today. I'm trying to swing a trip to Oslo with work as [strike]I've never been and would love to go[/strike] there's a big glycobiology conference - I have to speak to my boss today about it if he's around as I'd need to send an abstract in today to qualify.
Have a good day all, cel x
It's only a little one - a yamaha ybr125, I bought it originally to get to and fro from work because of the erratic hours I keep I couldn't rely on public transport. It's fun to drive though and remarkably reliable. Doesn't bounce though! :rotfl:celyn90 I presume you are talking about a motorbike ? what have you got?:staradmin:starmod: beware of geeks bearing .gifs...:starmod::staradmin:starmod: Whoever said "nothing is impossible" obviously never tried to nail jelly to a tree :starmod:0 -

Tomorrow is DS2 birthday (he will be 6) - he wants to take in some cartons of drink with cake for the kids in his class, so need to go get those today. Some mum's go overboard and get party bags and stuff for all the kids in the class:eek: I can understand that for an actual party but not to take into school!
I picked up my retro glass cabinet yesterday - its lovely!! Last nite I got hooked on ebay looking at retro furniture etc - reminding me of my childhood:D :rotfl:
Penpen - I too must try and get a menu plan sorted out - as the freezer is bursting!!! - Happy Hooker, thongs.....say no more!!;) :rotfl:

Morning all,
Just a quick one to say Hi. Into the home run. My third to last day at work today. Dinner last night was Baked pots with peas & sweetcorn and Cheese with lashings of butter for the boys but not for me and DH:o
We had to be content with a meagre scraping of butter and count it as slimming world syns:rolleyes:
Must start being good again now as next week i will be back to weighing in and althought the scales tell me I am still within target you have to be vigilant with this weight thing as those pesky pounds creep on when you think you are being good. Or rather, your brain lies to you and tells you that the chocolate biscuit doesnt need to be counted:p That brain of mine is naughty!:rotfl:
Hope you have a good day all. Aussie where are you? You cant still be recovering from a hangover or did you get lucky and find a BREADMAKER to woo:eek: :rotfl:
Hugs and best wishes to all will catch up later

Good morning all!
Back to normal in the Furrypig household (well for me and the kids DH out of work at the mo). Porridge is on, TD and Wm going and have to do packed lunch bits and we're about ready! (just went and turned off porridge just as well I was writing about it or it would be cinders!)
After work I will try and do the jobs I didn't do yesterday ie meal plan and finish tidying rest of unpacking, can't find my phone charger and know it's here somewhere!! Will prob have homemade chicken nugs for tea, and sandwich will do for lunch!
Hope everyone has great days, my DS 6 got into the junior school we wanted, good luck to everyone else and hugs to all that need/want them xxx0 -
Morning Guys!
Hope everyone is well and keeping ok.
Smokey-Still sending positive vibes to you and yours. Hugs!
Had a bad night, so really tired this morning. Have the nurse coming in at 8am. My blood count has dropped again, so need another infusion next Monday.
WM just about to go on and will be hung outside this morning as the weather is cold but breezy. Toilet cleaned and DW needs to go on after coffee and biscuits:D
OH bought me a reduced pack of Liver, bacon and mash for lunch and he has a HM green thai curry (BR-recipe).
Havent heard back about my niece passing her 11+, so fingers crossed for her if she hasnt heard already.
Anyway everyone....take care and keep warm.
Hugs

MRS MIX - good luck at the school. I hope the headbutter gets suitable punishment.
Talking about motorbikes has brought back memories of the bikes DH and I have had - two Suzukis and a Honda. Our best one was the Suzuki 850 which was shaft driven. It was brand new and we took it all over Europe but first we had to run it in and we only had three days in which to do it so were up and down the motorway for hours. The shaft drive was a completely new concept then (this was in the late 1070s!) and wherever we parked it up all through Europe, it gathered a crowd. We loved that bike with a passion and had many adventures on it. I know DH is often tempted to get another one but the roads here are a lot busier now than they were then and that puts him off. On a sunny warm day, there is no better way to travel and I hope we get another one one day.
Well, I've done some chores and had a shower and have just made myself a cup of coffee which is why I'm back on here!
Must go and do some more housew**k - don't you just love it?!
See you all later.
