Hi Bunbun, lovely card! My only advice would be to possibly have a larger focal point, the items you've added all seem to be roughly the same size so something striking in the centre may make the card seem less empty & have something specific for you eye to immediately fall on. HTH

Hi all, I've been making cards for about 2 years now, though havent had much time lately as LO keeps me very busy - hoping to start scrapbooking soon as well. Have been enjoying this thread for a while & your lovely cards & thought I'd say hi.

Ive just stared scrapbooking and im really enjoying it, if you want some ideas http://www.ukscrappers.co.uk this is a wonderfull site for gorgous ideas. Carefull though it will cost you a fortune. :rotfl:

Maggiebob - great gatefold card I love the green and gold together. You have got a lot of stuff. You're lucky that you've got a designated area for your stuff, mine is hidden everywhere, yours looks really organised too!
Bunbun2 - great card too, the patterned paper is lovely. I think that's one of the hardest things with card making, knowing when to stop adding things. Sometimes I go overboard adding this and that and by the time I've finished my card looks really cluttered!
Sylphraven - welcome, and hello again Ellidee.
Minimacka/sylphraven - I made my 1st scrapbook yesterday, and I loved it! Can't wait to do another now. It was a mini accordion kit and took me about 2 hours. Its for my Mum for xmas and has pictures of my kids in it. OH was very impressed! I kept putting off making it in case I couldn't do it, trouble is now I want to buy loads more stuff!

Super cards all of you :T
Not sure I'll get chance this week............only just got back from Liverpool -loads of phone messages and post to sort out (why does that always happen?).
Had a great time away and sort of 'fell' into a couple of card making shops..............lol Managed to resist the urge to walk out with half the shop as purse strings just wouldn't open that wide but got a pack of papers and some embelishments........nothing majorly exciting but I liked them.:rotfl:

I'm very lucky in that I have a patient husband, but then it's only in return for my patience regarding his photography!

I thought the green and gold would be a good motif to send to my Irish Grandmother!
In a better financial position than ever before (thank you MSE!). Moved back to Scotland and now trying to keep debt-free!

  • Polly ~ get well soon, hope you arnt in long (hugs)

Hi all, remember me :rotfl: sadly as soon as i came back online I had a list of commisions (what with fathers day and all ). My busniess had to come first hence whyt I have only just made it here now. All your work is totally amazing and I love it all.

Maggie bob ~ how much in a month. I have a fair bit here but now I seem to use it then buy more, I am more of a buy it, use it girl rather than a buy it, stroke it girl. Saying that though I just spent a fair bit on my first decoupage sheets... I cant wait to get them.

Now off to make a gate fold card :D

mumoftwo - thanks for letting us know about Polly. I wondered how she was.

melissa - blessed if I know which shop it was...............lol OH was very patient as I rummaged through stuff. There were three shops all down the same street...............same street as a shop called Shared Earth, if that helps at all..............by the time we got there I'd just walked up from the Walker Art Gallery to the R.C. Catherdral and then on to the Liverpool Cathedral so you can imagine how I felt.............overwhelmed by it all and a bit tired (putting it mildly............lol)

Mary43 - yep I think it must've been Rennies, its on the same side as Shared Earth. Rennies is a lovely shop but sometimes it gets really busy in there. I always stand at the front by the decoupage and get in everyone's way!
Pap - welcome back, glad to hear that your business is going well!
