It was abit like a production line:eek: I bought a couple of packs of papers from the local hobby shop and then had an afternoon every week from Sept/Oct where I would make cards. Just had to make sure they weren't too thick to attract the large letter rate:eek:
I have just now added todays cards onto my blog, and will be adding more as and when i make them, including next Christmas'.My self & hubby; 2 sons (30 & 26). Hubby also a found daughter (37).
Eldest son has his own house with partner & her 2 children (11 & 10)
Youngest son & fiancé now have own house.
So we’re empty nesters.
Daughter married with 3 boys (12, 9 & 5).
My mother always served up leftovers we never knew what the original meal was. - Tracey Ulman0 -

This is my gatefold card - it took me about 3 attempts to get the gatefolds to even closely match - grrr!In a better financial position than ever before (thank you MSE!). Moved back to Scotland and now trying to keep debt-free!0 -
Okay, this is crazy! I only started making cards last month, and look at the corner of my living room!
What you can't see is the six drawer A4 unit just to the side with the printer on top of it, the bag of textiles, threads and envelopes under the desk, and my laptop, used for printing whatever...In a better financial position than ever before (thank you MSE!). Moved back to Scotland and now trying to keep debt-free!0 -

Those wee drawer units were a find, a set of three drawers in poundland, so I bought 4, and stacked them up (alternating the colours, just for fun!)In a better financial position than ever before (thank you MSE!). Moved back to Scotland and now trying to keep debt-free!0

here is my gate fold card - hope I have got it right!
I would appreciate any comments/advice:rotfl:
do you think it looks a bit bare on the right hand side and should I add something? I am torn between not wanting to put something there cos it might look too symetrical and it needing something to break up the pattern. I might see if I can find another butterfly to put half way down on the right hand side. sorry to waffle on - this is the first card (apart from simple children's ones) that I have made without using the lets make cards mag:rotfl:saving for ds2's summer international scout camp - £200

Hi Bunbun, lovely card! My only advice would be to possibly have a larger focal point, the items you've added all seem to be roughly the same size so something striking in the centre may make the card seem less empty & have something specific for you eye to immediately fall on. HTH
Hi all, I've been making cards for about 2 years now, though havent had much time lately as LO keeps me very busy - hoping to start scrapbooking soon as well. Have been enjoying this thread for a while & your lovely cards & thought I'd say hi.You cant take a step forward with both feet on the ground0 -
Hi bunbun I lurk on this thread but rarely post .Just wanted to suggest that maybe another butterfly on the bottom right of your card, facing towards the flower, might work ?Nothing is so fatiguing as the eternal hanging on of an uncompleted task. William James0
