i've found a website www.handyhippo.co.uk - which looks quite reasonably priced, has anyone got any experience of ordering from them? and could anyone tell me if their prices are reasonable? i'm new to this so don't know how much things cost!
have to say i''m always very impressed with everyone's cards on this thread - thats what inspired me with my invites!

Love your cards toniwoty! :j You obviously have a creative streakI have bought from Handy Hippo, long time ago but service was fab. I am an ebay addict and buy nearly all my craft stuff from there (only if its cheaper of course, and it isn't always!). Looking forward to seeing some of your wedding cards, well done for making your own! :T

thanks rainmac
i've always been vaguely creative, my problem is usually patience...and finding the time!! but i've found if i take my time i find it quite relaxing so it doesn't need to go down under my 'chore' time IYKWIM. i have a looooooooong list of bits i want from happy hippo and have managed to grab a couple of ebay bargains.
am also looking at making hampers for xmas pressies so will be joining that thread soon too (never one to do things by halves)

Hello everyone, I am just in time to post my card for this week's challenge:
don't ask me why it has decided to turn itself round!!!!! And here is a couple of wedding ones that I did:.
Toniwoty2009: great cards, very impressive for a first attempt. My first ones were a disaster!! Keep posting them, and good luck with the wedding cards!!! Sounds like you have loads to do!0 -
oooo lovely cards melissa75 i especially like the father's day one.
right these are my invitation mock ups:
OH prefers this one but i have to say i find the peel offs VERY fiddly - is there a better way to do it? i just use my hands!
I prefer this with the banner. I've also ordered some bits from Handy Hippo to try one or two others things out so will post those when i'm done!
ps please ignore the ribbons - i cut them too short so couldn't tie them properly!Disneyworld Florida in August 2011 :jLost so far: 0 lbs of 4stMother of beautiful son with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy0 -
Melissa, love your latest cards! Where did you get that gorgeous duck on the FD one? He's sooo cute!
Toniwoty, your invites are beautiful - simple but so elegant. You can position peel offs with tweezers - I've seen Dawn Bibby on QVC craft programmes use them so they must work. I think you must have made cards in a former life or something cos they definitely don't look like the cards of a beginnner! :T :rotfl: :j:wave: If you want the rainbow, you've got to put up with the rain :wave:0 -
thanks rainmac i ws worried they looked like something was missing! oh well just need to learn to tie ribbon now (tips anyone?!) and wait for my handy hippo bits to come - i'm so excited - is that sad?!Disneyworld Florida in August 2011 :jLost so far: 0 lbs of 4stMother of beautiful son with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy0

Rainmac, the decoupage was from "design house" range and has a matching backing paper that I used. I got mine from craftybargains website, but I think its gone up to spend £14.99 to get free postage. The picture is called "animal antics ride country", I don't know if you'll be able to get if from ebay.
Tomiwoty2009- great cards. I find peel off words really difficult to put on straight, sometimes I try to use a ruler to help.0 -
