I was inspired by the purple glitter, which was a present from my mother. I got her into card making last month when she visited me and saw all my stuff, and now we send each other lots of nice things that we find.
I had a huge parcel from her this week, as she has discovered a local shop called Nickel n Dime which has loads of gorgeous craft stuff! In a better financial position than ever before (thank you MSE!). Moved back to Scotland and now trying to keep debt-free!0 -

Mary, great card - very elegant!
Maggiebob, great father's day card too, I like how you have done the lettering. And I love the tail on the cat - very clever!

Hi there, these cards that people have made look great! I'm trying to make some wedding invitations and am finding it quite difficult to find ideas. I bought the current issue of Wedding Ideas Magazine which has a How To section which shows you how to make your own invitations - which is fab! I also got 50p off that issue with a discount voucher!!!! see the website http://www.weddingideasmagazine.co.uk/content/view/421/220/
anybody have any ideas? my theme is pink vintage.
Hi wedidit, I love the designs on this site, simple (i.e. easy to make) yet really elegant. My fave is the polka dot one, you'd need card blanks/ or card you fold yourself, polka dot paper, ribbon, lots of glue/ double sided tape! :rotfl: How many do you need to make? Are they for yourself?
Do you have word/ word processing package on your pc to type and print the wording?
Have you had a look at ebay for ideas? Loads of people sell handmade cards on there so if you do a search for wedding pink vintage and see what appears!
Do you have a Hobbycraft store near you? They have a make your own wedding stationery section (may be a bit 'old fashioned') and then loads of blank cards, papers, ribbons etc. They are not necessarily the cheapest place but good to get some ideas.
HTH:wave: If you want the rainbow, you've got to put up with the rain :wave:0 -
