Oh BB that reminds me! 10 people are on our poll in this thread as wanting to lose weight for a special occasion and I was going to be nosey and ask what those special occasions are!
I'm doing my own 20lbs in 20 weeks challange as when I started it was exactly 20 weeks until my OH is 30! We are going out with all our friends (who I haven't seen since xmas - hope they notice a difference?!?) for a meal and then going to a club and I wanted to wear a nice dress and feel good in it!!:D
Happy birthday to nessa and mark88man's dd - oooh and belated wishes to granny?? I seemed to have missed that somewhere??:oGoal weight....lighter than when I started0 -
Hi all,
Well done to those who have lost weight or SS and commiserations to the gainers!
Big congrats to Ampersand for SOTW and to Kymrob for continuing to do so well :T :T :T
Now, I have to confess to a weekend of totally 'unpointable' meals out as staying with my sister and BIL, and visiting Mum for lunch out on Easter Sunday. Sis and BIL took us out for fab lunch too on Easter Monday - but just couldn't point what was on my plate - particularly on Sunday when the veg were absolutely dripping in butter:eek: . No Easter eggs though
So WI at WW showed a .................. loss of 0.5lbs!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Am absolutely gobsmacked!!!!!!!!!!
Granny (or whoever is kindly taking over) would you also please make a note that I won't be weighing in next Thursday (3rd April) as I move into my new house that day - yahaaaaay :j :j :j

It is chucking it down with rain here so the sunshine lasted yesterday less than half a day and back to the rain again:rolleyes: was going to the shops but will not bother now.
Have a great day everyone will be back later, house work to do now;)0 -
You're up and about early today Mumoftwins! Well done on still losing, that is a great result! Best of luck with the new house, how exciting!
Hope you crack the 2 stone Kymrob!
Morning Victory, ditto here about the weather
I'm still sticking to the "one grocery shop per month" thing, so today I think I'll start planning April's shop. It's surprising how far you can make the money stretch when you put more thought and planning into it, I'm sure other people here have found the same. Average so far is £142/month grocery bill for the 2 of us and I know that's not as frugal as some but I don't feel we've gone without anything!0 -

Mark

Hi everyone (new girl here, well joined a few days ago lol)
You are all doing so well ! Some of the losses are fantastic and you've all really spurred me on. I've found a lovely slimming buddy in wendy :j and she's keeping an eye on me.
I've been at it for 4 days (the diet ! lol), and have to say i've got a bit in between my teeth about it now, and want to be back in my size 14s by end of the summer ! I really admire those of you who are maintaining (my downfall) so i'll be reading your posts for any hints and tips when I eventually get to my target.
Anyway, I do tend to ramble, so just ignore me lol ...... hope you all have a lovely day and weekend. Be good !:jWeight loss to date 1st 11.5lb :j0 -
well done jtb keep it up sunshine I know you can do it 'also well done everyone else for this weeks losses even staying the same is good with all the chocolate about. and even if you have gained its only one week you can get back on it 'onward and upwards everyone 'or should I say downward lol :jl:T Never Too Old to learn :T0

Hey all, I was really happy yesterday. I visited my mum & we took the dogs out for a walk in a very muddy field, I slipped and ended up on my butt sat in a soggy muddy puddle. Mum dug out some jeans for me when we got back to hers, although they were a struggle to get on they fitted snuggly and were comfy. Then mum told me they were size 14!! I couldn't believe it! I wear size 18 normally!
I've been back to the gym yesterday & today after resting my ankle. It's starting to twinge again so I will leave it tomorrow and keep an icepack on it. My review is in one week and I'm excited to see the results.

:hello: hello, im a newbie so apologies if anything i say should be elsewhere or whatever but i am sooooooooo glad there is a lose weight thread! i was just thinking how i needed someone else to do it with me for extra encouragement and unfortunately my real life people dont really make the effort.
at the start of last year i weighed over 13stone (im 5'7) and in a bid to slim down for my sisters wedding in may, i started eating more fresh healthy foods, excersising more and calorie counting. its the easiest for me to understand. going on average of 1500 calories per day monday to friday and weekends off, i lost a stone in 3 months. :T
but this has fallen by the wayside many months ago and there is an easter egg staring at me! :EasterBun
i will measure myself and post on next post. (scales are bad!)
thanks!Cc debt; £4950 Tesco - £3.37 Boots - £3.94 £2 pot - £0.00 Sealed pot NO40 - £7.87 no spend days jan-3/31 £2 savers = £60
