    Well done you, too!
re: scales, I have tonight paid a month's WW(as planned)but at 1st part of gym/swim assessment yesterday, had BP, BMI and weight(didn't ask)done on much sproncier state-of-Art machines than at WW or even Surgery!
Will def. change to mthly gym £25.75, incorporating same financial goads and spurs after 2nd part of assessment next Wed. Then, after their 3-month Fitness Plan is successfully completed, mthly use drops to £5! - I'm sure that's what has been explained to me. I can't praise too highly the kindness and huge efforts the staff are making, to try and make this affordable for me, even tho' a squeeze, even with a Dr's referral. And I am 'on licence' - 4x1weekly checks or Dr insists HBP treatment. I had to beg for this chance for a 'normal' return to normal, if that makes sense. So, I have a month to make it work. Gym agreed with Dr and phoned him to discuss it in my presence.

Hi all, im new to all this!

Just a little about me! Im male and 19 and a student!

Over the last few months just realised that ive been putting on the weight!

I currently stand at 14st but i think thats way to much for a 19 yr old student, problem is ive only started feeling the effects of the weight recently.

Was shocked to find out my BMI was 29 today!

Im aiming to loose 2stone (28lbs) By June 1st (Holiday to egypt). Most importantly im doing this for myself and my self confidence.

Any starting ideas would be nice because im totally clueless! Thanks all!

mind you still have about 6-7 stone to lose and the closer your goal i harder it became! but i am finding it ok at the moment!
this week felt great as we had a tin of celebrations left over from xmas and rather it sat their we equaled them out and other half has hide his! i gave myself just one choc from the tin! i didn't need them it felt great! mind easter eggs will be fun might just have half an egg!! ha ha
it ain't worth it when i get on the scales as i will disappointed with myself!

    Hi Kym,

Ampersand posted this on another thread as a result of her WW's meeting last night - hope it helps ;););) !!!

Totally pointless facts from WW tonight.
Eat a 200gm Lindt choc bunny - needs 4 years of brisk walking to 'undo' it.
Next one, to walk off even one M&M, one brisk circuit of a standard football field is necessary.
As for Cadbury's creme eggs, do you really want to spend 21 YEARS on exercise to undo 6?
Some of these 'facts' smelt of MediGoogle - but still.
Upon which cheery note(esp. as I LOATHE
