Is green met like amazon or do they charge upfront?
Gem green met doesnt charge at all, basically for ver book you sell you get £3 you must send your book 2nd class in a jiffy bag. So once that is done you get around £1.50. Obviously if the book is heavy you can add postages costs which I do do for some of mine. All your books stay there untill they sell or your remove them from sell. You get a email when any sell. Here is a quote from the faq page basically you are 'charged' 70p per book but I dont really look at it that way.~Does it cost anything to list and sell books?
There are no charges or fees for listing books for sale. We simply pay you £3.00 for every book sold (plus any postage payment if it’s a heavier book). All our books cost just £3.75 to buy, of which we pay £3.00 to the seller and 5p to the Woodland Trust.0 -
Hmmm so it's worth it for paperbacks thenNo longer using this account for new posts from 20130

I keep thinking of using Green Met for paperbacks, do you find they sell pretty quickly Pap?
:T great news about BT0 -
Gem ~ green met are much better for selling books I find than ebay. On ebeay I rarely get them brought at only 99p but using green met they do sell but it doesnt cost if they dont.
Daphne ~ The last lot (9) I put on there sold within a month but except one payment I payed to my bank I seemed to just buy some books for myself from green met. However I dont see that as a bad thing because it means less books being made so the green thing is working.:D0 -
Thanks PAP, I've not used Ebay for books, only Amazon. But I have some erm, obscure titles for anyone over 11No longer using this account for new posts from 20130

I would try it gem, its not like it will cost you anything. Obviously if they are worth more than £3 though I would be wary.
Well I have had my refund :j now they have my bank details so you would have thought they would just refund to that... uh no they send a cheque  anyways no problems I will get that banked on monday, its only going into savings *i think* anyways
24 hours after I recived the book I was so desperate to read I have finished it. In the red by alexis hall. Now although the book is fab and it does really help you think about spending I didnt find that many conections between me and the lady writing it, mainly because her spending was on clothes/bags but the theory is the same. Its amazing how you see someones outlook on life/money too, a real eye opener. I must say I am not as enthusiatic as I thought I would be to try not spending for a year but it has made me think of more ways I can stop spending unessacerally. I do think I need to embrace some type of challenge though as I now only do the weekly spends challenge, I need to find something moneywise to get passionate about again

Maybe you could talk to your supervisor again about going part time? But surely if the problem is this bad, then you need out altogether?
My thoughts are if I go part time I can concerntrate more on my job searches? I dont know my reasonong to be honest but I really dont want this life anymore :rolleyes:PAP~If you worked less hours would you be entitled to Working tax credit?

IT could be something you are entitled to.
Dont dismiss it out of hand.

I don't think of WTC as a benefit, just a bit of extra tax relief
Maybe, but I wouldn't be too sure. What do you want to do as a job?No longer using this account for new posts from 20130
