    IT could be something you are entitled to.
    Dont dismiss it out of hand.
    Is there another GP in your practice you could see?

    Haven't you gotta be 25 or have a disability or child though?

  • Beanie ~ I cant see another gp because they didnt prescribe the anti d's. I spoke to the doctor I saw on wednesday but she said she couldnt do anything.

    Gem ~ I ahd this conversation about what I want to do on my other thread. I dont truely know but something I would like to do I cant because I am not trained. I was all set for doing an ou course this september but I didnt complete my maths course :rolleyes:

    Is the maths required for the OU then? How far off finishing were you?

    Since you only need a low income, how about stay till the end of the summer? (You have to work four weeks notice anyway) Then temp or do part-time office work. And get your bum in gear for getting what you really want! You can do it huni, I know you can!

  • Gem ~ no I dont need the maths for the ou. I left the maths course ages before finishing. I know you say only till the end of summer, but I have said only till my birthday, only for another month but it never happens. I am now counting the hours. I dont know what I 'want' but I know I need more of a life than I have now.

    beanie ~ I am 22. No on wednesday I went to the docs about something unrelated, I have been on the anti d's about a month now, just after.

    Anti D's take 6 - 8 weeks to kick in. Give them another four weeks, then stick your four weeks notice in, that'll give your two more months pay (roughly) to save as much as possible. I know it's hard but trust me, knowing the date in your own head will help hugely :)

  • Right I have come to a desicion, I wont hand my notice in but thats purely because I dont see why I should suffer just because people are making me feel/act a certain way. Yes its not the best job in the world but it is a job, and more than I will have if I handed my notice in. If I havent got my job and this forum the sad fact is I would have nothing... I need to make this work. This however doesnt change my opinion on this and I will still be searching for jobs but I guess its a nessacary evil right now and I guess I can cope ~ just.

    However I need something to stimulate my brain. In work I have nothing to get the old grey matter working and I think thats whats annoying me. I am in no way a person of very high intulect but I do think I have a good brain and I have great results... So I need to find something to put my mind to. This is however where I become stuck. What do I do?

    ~~~~~
    So thats that, It was payday today and I got my promotion wages so got a bit more than I was expecting... however I am not banking on this everymonth just because. So after paying bills/transfering savings etc I have £217 for the month. My cheque from bt hasnt cashed yet though but I am placing that into savings anyway :D So once that has been placed into savings I will have saved £410 this month :j Admittly £100 of that is holiday savings so wont 'count' but hey I dont think thats too bad eh :D Still on target to fill my isa before the next tax year :j
    Have spent some money today and going to town and the cinema tommorow but its all good :)
    Good for you Pap :) I am sure it is the right decision - just try to stay focused and do not stop looking for something else - the right job is out there, you will find it :)
    What about doing an Open University course? I am starting one in October as I need something to think about that isn't nursery rhymes and nappies :rotfl: If you are on a low income you might not have to pay anything, ask IA about that, I think she is an expert...
