Definitely an OU course PAP, then you're not tied to a specific time like a college course but you're learning and getting the brain going!
The chap I saw from there said if you earn under 15k you can get help and that's based on your income not the householdNo longer using this account for new posts from 20130 -
dd ~ I dont understand why I should give up on something just because people are making me feel a certain way. I also had very very vivid flashbacks of when I was on jsa and thats somewhere I dont want to be at all.
I wanted to do a acountacy ou course ages ago, thats the reason I started on the maths gcse. However somehow I talked myself out of it
beanie ~ I do value your opinion and maybe deep down you are right. But I feel I cant let others rule my life. If I hand my notice in they will win, why should I let them? If things dont improve before my holiday I will review it and see how things go but I am planning to stick it out for a while.
Gem ~ I definatly want to do an ou course because I am not tied. I was worried about the fee so I am glad I may get some help. I am unsure which to do though? I really do like the sound of teh accountancy though :rolleyes:0 -

I am in no way a person of very high intulect but I do think I have a good brain and I have great results... So I need to find something to put my mind to. This is however where I become stuck. What do I do?
Like everyone else says pap, the option that makes the most sense is to study for the job you DO want!! You'll be exercising those brain cells and getting closer to your dream job.
You probably don't enjoy work cos at the moment it feels like you'll be there forever, if you're studying it won't bother you so much cos you know you are working at getting away from it.

What about An Introduction To Business Studies? If you scroll down to Qualifications you can see that course can lead to a number of more specific courses.
Put your income and details in here and it will tell you what you are entitled to. I'm willing to bet you would have your fees paid and maybe even a small grant to help.
I agree with Raph about studying taking your mind off work, you will be, literally, working your way out of there!0 -
Or you could do the course IA is doing, that's one of their introductory finance oneNo longer using this account for new posts from 20130

Thanks all, I really have my eye on the accounting certificate however I need to save some pennies to put towards the grant so I think It will need to be done next year. I have enough in savings but its locked until september and it needs paying before then
The grant will cover a 30point course (the one you mention gem) so maybe if I do that this coming 'year' and then do the certificate next 'year'?

In other news not much happening. I have however got another mouth to feed. Years ago I said I would never get another animal... however somehow I now have a lovely female hamster named Patch. She is soooo cute, I fell in love with her. So I spent £40 on her/cage/food/treats/bits on and also £2.68 included in that is a magazine, stickers and a diary. Have around £100 till payday now and that seems fine
Sorry I havent posted for a couple of days just had a few days out and thought about a lot0 -
