Hey Chip
I just wanted to say that I cameacross your thread earlier and have sat and read the whole thing! You sound like a fantastic dad and you are really getting your life in order - good for you! :T :T0 -
Thanks Amylou....;)
Went to the football tournament today, ended in heartbreak. Both teams went out after a penalty shootout, DS2 and DS3 in the quarter finals and the B team in the semi-finals. DS3 scored in one of the group games and they both scored in the shootout but they came close which was brilliant...:T
Spent lots today unfortunately. Bought lunch in town (£3.00), I gave them a fiver each for their good school report ( we'll see Kung Fu Panda another time ) so they each bought two books. They wanted to buy a lottery ticket each so they did tonight's Thunderball and DS3 has only gone and won a fiver....:rotfl: :T . At the tournament, bought the three of us an ice-cream (£6.00) plus a programme (£2.00). The boys were made up though as local soccer legend Scott Murray was there to watch his little boy play and DS3 got his autograph....:D
They're en route for Sleepville, Ohio now. Tomorrow, we might go to the airport depending on what time their mum's coming for them. I never know what time as she never tells me so we'll just head off to the airport and if she comes and we're not there, hard luck...:eek:0 -
The boys have just gone home now after another action-packed weekend so I'm just having a coffee, some chocolate and a cry...
Went to the airport today, saw thirteen new aircraft and were royally treated to a flypast of a Hercules bomber. RAF Fairfords show was cancelled this weekend because of the car parks being knee deep in mud so it must have been something to do with that. Blooming big, I know that....
Shortish week this week. I'll go to watch them at school football training on Tuesday, take them to their football team's training on Wednesday, take them to school on Friday and pick them up as we're off on holiday next Friday. :j :j  ... three nights in Haven's flagship camp in Devon Cliffs, entertainment, electric and insurance included for about £80, I think, not much more at most. Been there before and this will be the fifth holiday we've been on, the third with me alone...:D
Catalogues all week till then, I have 350 in the van to deliver before Tuesday dinnertime, collect another lot and deliver them and collect a third lot before the holiday. That will leave me about 800 to do the final week.
I managed to pick up another customer on Friday. It will be just about an hours work a week and it pays £12 a week, not much but I have the odd spare hour or two. In two weeks time, another area will come up earning me another £16 a week for about 90 minutes work so this will be a welcome £120 a month or so for my coffers...:j0 -
Seems like a long old day today...
Morning post run at 7am and I'm still going now with barely time to blow my nose all day. Delivered 120 catalogues this morning, popped home for a quick lunch then back out to do another 85 this afternoon. Back for a coffee then out to do the evening post run. Had tea then straight onto the tiresome task of typing out the minutes from a football tournament meeting I attended last night. Just finished them and have to sort out tomorrow's catalogues along with the boys plane-spotting book which needs revising.
Boys rang up tonight, they're a bit excited as it's only four more sleeps till our holiday!!:j

Morning post run, evening post run and 120 catalogues were the order of the day.
Didn't spend very much today, took the boys to Three Lions football training after school and dropped them back home afterwards. Been prepping tomorrow's catalogues and I start delivering for my new customer tomorrow. I need to get close on 200 catalogues out by 1.00pm as the boys are coming round for their second lot of football training when I pick them up from school.
This holiday is very necessary....:D0 -
Hi Chip!
Not long until the hol then! Are the boys excited?
Going to be a long day today, off work and housebound! How are the catalogues coming along? Many left now?Current debt - £16,300Debt at worst 17/03/2011 - £18,067.62:eek::eek::ANot going anywhere else, ever again :A0 -
Hi Lucy, good to see you again....:D
I have 2,000 catalogues to finish in the next two weeks, it should be achievable as long as I knock holes in the amount each day. The van will hold around 300-325 at a time so it will take six journeys to get them all...
I've now done 320 with another 300 in the van. I'll do those by Friday and pick up another 300 before the weekend. We're leaving for the holiday straight from school on Friday afternoon and won't be back until Monday afternoon so I'll have to get my **** into gear next week....
The boys are excited, yes, we all just want to get down there now....
Hope you're well, I must read your thread to keep up with things....:p0
