A much quieter day today after yesterday's trip to the capital.

Set myself a target of delivering 100 catalogues a day this campaign as I have 2,500 to do in four weeks. I try not to do any at weekends as it's my time with the boys and I want to try and have a life as well as doing them. I have a habit of concentrating on the catalogues at the expense of everything else but this time will be different.

Delivered 102 today and bought some lunch while I was out (£3.10) plus a tenner's worth of diesel. Picked the boys up from school today and took them to football training tonight before dropping them home. House is awfy quiet again...

Managed to get another 100 catalogues delivered this morning and stayed dry too....:j

Went down to Dorset this afternoon / evening to see my oldest two, bought them some tea and came back about an hour ago...

Not much planned for tomorrow. The boys have an inset day so I'll be having them from 11.00am instead of from school...:j . Also weighed in this morning three pounds lighter than last week, hurrah!

Been to work and back already, popped home then off out again to do some shopping. Spent just under £18 which is respectable enough...:D

Collecting the boys for the weekend early today as they have an inset day. Might nip out to the airport later for lunch then back in time for tea and football training. Tomorrow's weather forecast looks a bit ropey then Sunday they have a tournament so no planes then!
  • Hi Chip,

Hi Chip, thanks for that. I like the name "Chip", its a fun name. Chip Hazard, if you didn't know, was the head of commando elite in the film "Small Soldiers", one of my favourite movies...:D

Good luck with the weight loss, I think that a stone in three weeks is pushing it as you say but aim for half a stone, that's achievable for sure...

Funny old day weather-wise today. Managed three hours at the airport today watching the planes going in and out ( got eleven new ones...that's 530 now ) and it was lovely and sunny if a little windy. Since we got back, it's not stopped raining at all. I'd think tomorrow's tournament is slightly doubtful now....

Spent £1.24 on a loaf of bread, three packets of Maltesers for us ( all Clubcard points ) and that was it....:T

Tale of two climates at the tournament this morning  , first two hours it chucked it down to the point where my notebook turned to mush. Then all of a sudden, out came the sun and dried up all the rain and the incy-wincy, oops, slipped into a song then.... . Neither team qualified for the semi-finals but we stayed and cheered on some friends who were playing in the final.

Kept hold of the boys until 4.30pm as I needed to feed them then get them into a nice hot bath.:D Took them home and had a little snivel on the way home. They're really good company as we all like the same things in life, the simple pleasures. I've got a meeting on Wednesday evening so their Mum will have to take them to football training and I won't see them until Friday morning. I've had them since 11.00am on Friday morning so roughly speaking, I've had them for 58 hours this week which is good....:j

Didn't spend that much today. £2.00 parking and programme at the tournament, 50p for a coffee there, £1.00 on some chocolate for the boys and a loaf of bread, not forgetting £8.00 on some petrol ( Tesco, eight Clubcard points ).

    Lucielle,

I made the decision to pay my creditors minimum payments they would accept until I got back on my feet again. They've accepted this on the basis that the payments will increase later this year or early next. It would be nice to be virtually debt-free by the end of next year bar the CSA bill which I was walloped with last year....

As for today, delivered another 100 catalogues this morning and planned the next day's too. I had a phone call from the twins too :j which cheered me up no end. Spending today? £20.00 on petrol from Tesco's ( 20 Clubcard points ), £1.93 on a loaf of bread and a jar of coffee.
