Steady Maz, you'll be getting me accused of all sorts now....

I think pretty much anyone with a heart would have been affected by the visit yesterday. Ninety minutes walking around a stunning facility in beautiful grounds that just a few years ago were disused farm outbuildings. Now after millions were raised to rebuild them into a state-of-the-art hospice, that now hosts up to 200 families a year.

The "Starborn" room was where it hurt. The room is chilled ( for obvious reasons ) and is where the child is laid to rest so that parents and siblings can come to say goodbye. It's a big room, airy and light and has a skylight in the ceiling. They are careful how they put it because some people are atheists or of other faiths but the skylight is for the child's soul to go to heaven and then a star is born in the sky, hence the name...

A truly lovely place. I'm going to stop now because I'm sending this a wee bit off topic now but it will be good to go back again with a nice cheque in November for them, fingers crossed.:A

It sounds like a beautiful place. And they are very lucky to have people like you to raise money for them.

Right another day, do you have much planned?

    Morning,

Just got back from the morning post run. Won't be going too far from home today, methinks. I need to sort out a new mobile phone handset today so will need to pop into town. Need to make a few phone calls too but other than that, not much.

Might also get back onto the exercise bike today as have missed it these past two days.

Well my big chip inspired life change starts today. So I am healthy eating and doing more exercise. Although mum and I have decided that because of the fuel strikes we wont be doing aquafit until next week to save on petrol :o well that is our excuse anyway! Will try to fit in a 45 min walk later though to make up.

What sort of hand set do you want?

Hey, what was the :rotfl: for? Cheeky young mare.....

I'm going for something cheap, cheerful and styliseh, preferably a Sony Ericsson. In true MSE tradition, I'm aiming to spend less than I got for my last phone on E-bay last week which was £40.00.

Are you doing much today? :D

Working. Well Working and posting ;) Other than that nothing much planned. I live a very boring life really.

I managed to get my phone for free on a contract, which saved me about £120  I would never spend that on a mobile!!

Ouch! Expensive day today but it was all necessary spend.:D

Went into town and picked up a Sony Ericsson w200i from Virgin for £34.99 including a fiver's airtime. The MSE in me would not let me go above the forty pounds I'd budgeted for so I'm quite chuffed with myself. It's a nice, basic phone with a camera, radio and Walkman included. On the way home, stuck £30.00 of petrol in the car while I could (30 Clubcard points ) and while at Tesco's, nipped round and got a little bit of shopping (£12.81, 12 Clubcard points ) and also managed some ready meals on multi-buy savings which upped me towards my target a little. :D

Off to do the evening post run in half an hour and watch the football tonight from the comfort of my bike!

Just come off the exercise bike ( stepped off, not fell off :D ) and the reading showed 2.62 miles which is what I did the first night. I'm a little disappointed with that but I'm sure tomorrow will be better....

    Morning gorgeous!!!

:T For the bike!! I actually manage a 40 min walk last night, which is impressive for me and I am heading back to my dance class tonight. Was doing really well with my calories until I visited a friend who fed me a burger :o which took my 150 over .

    So more exercise bike today?

Congrats on the phone! I talk to much otherwise I would switch to a pay as you go one, but I was spend way to much!!

    Have a good day x

    Morning Lucy....:D

Overslept this morning and woke up 45 minutes late:eek: Managed to get out and work without breakfast so have just polished off cereal and toast...:D

Picking the boys up from school and taking them to football training tonight. Other than that, paperwork, housework and washing to do. Need to give the lawn a mow but it's too wet here.

    How you doin'?:D
