it's a good job I wasn't eating my breakfast as I read that!
Where have all the Preston bootsers gone? Have you all been scared off by the evil SA's? Am I the only one left standing. It'll take much more than a few scowls and voucher refusals to keep me out of the store!
*evil laugh*
I'm still here :j .
I was in the Boots in town the other day & had the S&G shower gel, the bag & a John Frieda hairspray. The SA had a good look at the bag & asked what it was & I told her it was free with any other S&G purchase & she remarked on how good it was, then I handed over my 200 pts ATM voucher & my 200 points mag voucher & the SA said "I don't think you can use both of these" but I told her that they would go through & she tried them & yes they did go through no problems :j , then I handed over my £2.00 off haircare voucher & she said " I don't think this works on the hairspray" again I asked her to put it through to see & lo & behold it went through again with no problems :T
They've still got plenty of S&G shower sets at £7.50 & the Accessorize hatboxes are still £9.00.0 -
Can anyone help?
the front page says about the over 60's club but i can't find details about it on the boots website. was thinking of mum joining so she can get discounts but theres no point me telling her about it, if i can't show her how to join...0 -

I've been after both of these sets for agggggggggggggges!! I mainly call in at Deepdale, due to working long hours - I rarely get to the shops before 7. They had loads of the hatboxes last time I went, but they were scanning at full price so I left it. They are nice, but not £18 worth nice!
I'm going to go and treat myself to a S&G set I think. I'm so delighted with the S&G offers at the moment - I always use the stuff. I did get a couple of the gift sets in the post-xmas sale, and I thought that would be my lot this year. But at £5 with a return of 400 points, they are practically freeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!! :rotfl: :j :rotfl: :jI don't believe in doing things the easy way.....0 -

Is it just because that store was getting rid of stock possibly? Quite dissapointed really as it would have been a brilliant chair for our new baby, he is due tomorrow.
I think it may have been beacuse the store in question is 1/2 a mile away from the Boots factory in Nottingham and they use that store to "clear out" the Boots employees factory shop (this shop really would get you all excited!!)DFW No. 344
Proud to be dealing with my debts!!:T0 -
Still got a few S&G steamy shower sets in Littlehampton boots if anyone is interested (£7.50). Hat boxes still at £9 but they're not shifting so i'm holding out ! No other bargains but I did treat myself to some No7 goodies and got my GWP :0) - saw the GWP on Olay range but didn't manage to see what was in it - is it any good?:jWeight loss to date 1st 11.5lb :j0

Sorry to be lazy and not search myself - my excuse is that after many phone calls to and visits by British Gas I have finally had an engineer agree that there is a problem with my boiler, and I'll have no heating or water until late tomorrow, so this room is not warm, even with a very woolly cardigan.
Back on topic - where is the store near the Nottingham factory, please?0 -

Hi Purplegirl! It was me who got these the other day & I think it's because the shop has been refitted to include a Clarins,Lancome,Clinique counter. The SA was saying they were getting rid of alot of stuff throughout the store to make room for them. Our 1st baby is due 29th December 2007! :rudolf:
I'm hopeful that this get's me out of cooking Christmas dinner!
Baby Ruby arrived after 55 hours of labour & an emergency c section on Christmas Day at 14.41 weighing 6lb 6oz...And yes I did get out of cooking Christmas dinner!!:rotfl:0 -
I've been reading this Boots thread with interest for a couple of weeks and thought I'd have a go and see how many points I could clock up on one visit. I bought 2 x S&G products at £5 each - used 3 x 200 points vouchers (1 from Boots mag & 2 from ACP); 2 x Boots Botanics Baby products - used 2 x 100 points ACP vouchers; 1 x Boots Expert tube cream at £1.79 - used 100 points voucher from Boots mag. There was a problem with the voucher going through for this so SA refunded item, re-charged me and still voucher didn't go through so points had to be added manually. What she didn't realise was she had refunded me 2 x £1.79 so I got a free tube of cream and my 100 points.
So, I bought products I would have bought anyway and made 900 points. I never go near the ACP but you won't be able to keep me away from it now! As a treat for myself I bought the S&G Small or Nothing gift set with 500 of the points I had made.
Oh, also got 2 x £2 haircare vouchers.
A BIG thank you to everyone who has posted on here! If you want the rainbow, you've got to put up with the rain :wave:0 -

I was just having a wander, and I spotted this post.
I know you're a generous lot, and that you do what you can, so I hope you don't mind me posting this up in the hope that people here read it, and maybe send or card or something. It's here:

I'm sure that most of us have some Boots (to keep on topic) goodies, and others, that we can spare to brighten up the lives of some of these children. I'm sure a lot of you who bought toys in the sale could perhaps spare one? I am having a sort out of some toiletries and make up from GWP's etc which I know I will never use, to send to some of the teenagers, don't forget also, that some of them might have younger/older brothers and sisters that perhaps don't get so much attention too.0
