  • Don't forget to keep an eye out for the Spa Clean of England (orange) shower gel, on clearance at £1.25 (on shelf with other S&G products) and both 200 pts vouchers work so 400 pts for £1.25 spend

Does anyone else shop in the Boots stores in Reading? The big one in the Oracle no longer has a clearance shelf downstairs at all, and nothing seems to be on clearance on the shelves. Upstairs there is a small clearance shelf of children's things and travel things. Does anyone know what this store has done with its clearance items?

Another Boots up the street has a few clearance things, but I always get the cashier who reads the coupons and says "you can't combine offers." That store had the flight socks on sale for 3.99, and I wanted them if I could use the 300 points coupon, but decided not to try it! Can you check out at the pharmacy if you aren't buying medicine?

aarrgghh, sometimes I wish I wasn't addicted to this damn thread!

I sit here at work, snatching a couple of minutes here and there to have a little peek at what everyone is getting....and its beginning to dawn on me how mad I get when I see what I'm missing!! I can only get to the good stores at weekends (can only do Deepdale during the week because it's open late...but the SA's there are horrible and they hardly ever have anything good anyway!) and I miss loads because of this.

Contemplating resigning to continue my addiction....

    Dear Boss,

Please accept this letter as my resignation, I feel that persuing a career in grabbing Boots bargains and accumulating AC points would be more beneficial in the long term.

    ha ha ha
I don't believe in doing things the easy way..... :)

Just back from an amazing day including my trip to Boots :D

    Total spend £22.56

    Total Points rc'vd £18.10  :j

I used loads of pantene coupons from parenting club + 500pts on £10 baby spend, plus S&G vouchers and a 105pts on £20 spend.

Also not sure if it's been mentioned before but the free styling product with any pantene product works twice if you're buying shampoo & conditioner in the same transaction :D The SA told me, fantastic helpful lady! She also put the 2 S&G bags in my carrier for free.... they scanned @ £2.50 but when I queried it she voided them & let me have them for free!

I'm on such a high now
Wins since September 2011: Wedding (Worth £3500) :j Bridesmaids Headpiece (Worth £40) National Wedding Show VIP tickets (Worth £70) £100 Shopping vouchers... :D

I do not want to take over here...but just a suggestion...there are about 80 children on the list and I was thinking we may end up sending to same ones etc. Do you think it would be a good idea if I type up a list of the name and we could pop our names next to them when we send a gift? Then each time someone sends something they have, that is suitable for that child, they pop their name next to them, that way we could kind of work through them?

Or should it be on a seperate thread?

Or shall I just SHUT UP lol

    Broclo,
I've just seen this mail stats page on the postpals website http://www.postpals.co.uk/mailstats.php
So everytime someone sends a card or letter or gift, they enter it on that page. That way everyone can see how many items of post each child has received, like you suggested.
This is such a super idea- some of the children's profiles bought tears to my eyes. I will definitely be sending a few little parcels.

I've had another good day! :D

Got 4 Soap & Glory Clean Of England Body Washes at 1.25 each. I used the 200 points from hb mag & 200 points from acm on each of them so 1600 points for a £5.00 spend! :T

I also got 4 FCUK large cosmetic bags which had been reduced to £2.00 each but when they went through the til they had another third off them so £1.33 each!

I then got 2 picture frames which are currently on BOGOF,I used the 200 points from acm & 250 points from PC. So 450 points for a £7.00 spend.:j

Not bad really over 2000 points in total today! :D
Our 1st baby is due 29th December 2007! :rudolf:
I'm hopeful that this get's me out of cooking Christmas dinner!

Baby Ruby arrived after 55 hours of labour & an emergency c section on Christmas Day at 14.41 weighing 6lb 6oz...And yes I did get out of cooking Christmas dinner!!:rotfl:
