afternoon everyone
im just back from bootsglasgow fort had the pleasure of my company today.
I treated myself to some soap and glory peaches body butter today, I have really dry skin and soap and glory is great for it, and it doesnt irrate me like many other creams  I got the points back on it tho :T
I got some rimmel mascara glam eyes I think it is, boots have £2 off it just now, so its only 4.99, will give that a whirl and see how it is.
I got some toni and guy serum with my haircare voucher, it was 7.99 reduced to 5.99 wiht the voucher, but its a massive tube so will last me aaaaages lol.
I got a few of the fcuk minis for oh to keep him happy:rotfl:
They had some charles worthington sprays in clearance for 50p, I think its called curl booster or something, I picked up a couple, they had some toni and guy pots in a packet on sale down to 4.99 I think these were a previous gwp ? and lots of soltan stuff marked down, there were some timote (sp) shampoo and conditioner reduced and some no7 lip gloss and higlighter small pots you clicked into a keyring reduced to £2, some 17 nail varnishes reduced.
Also they had a lot of their clothing 25% off, I picked up a lovely wee suit for my friends new baby.
i got home and realised I had given the SA two x 200 points for the soap and glory from acm instead of one and the 75 pointer  as she said to me I have got two of the same voucher and I asked for one back to use another time. Ah well not to worry.
They had a good few mags at cashdesk as well.
What are you all doing with your points ? I think i have decided to save them up for xmas, I was going to save them up for ghds, but I got a set of babyliss straighteners last week and I am so pleased with them.Little Miss Sparkles :A

Sorry to be lazy and not search myself - my excuse is that after many phone calls to and visits by British Gas I have finally had an engineer agree that there is a problem with my boiler, and I'll have no heating or water until late tomorrow, so this room is not warm, even with a very woolly cardigan.
Back on topic - where is the store near the Nottingham factory, please?
It at the Riverside Retail Park - you need to be lucky - I went today and they said they had a massive trolley of Accessorize hat boxes at £4.50 - by 9.45 there were 8 left! Today they had 4 pack soap at 10p, shower gels at 10p, Elle MacPhereson stuff at 50p - tons of it - but people were taking basket fulls each! I think word gets around the other shops on the retail park - and their cars are parked outside!!DFW No. 344
Proud to be dealing with my debts!!:T0 -
I don't know. I've been doing a google search for info. No luck as yet!
Anyway if anyone out there wants to pay me, I'm quite happy to wee in a bottle if they throw some notes at me!
Discodee...I am shocked you do not know, you brain box!
Urea is a natural waste product that is excreted by the kidneys and sweat glands, so yes urea is in wee and sweat. For face creams etc they do not sit in labs harvesting rat wee, they use synthetic urea.
This is made from ammonia(derived from coal or other hydrocarbons such as natural gas and petroleum-derived raw materials) and carbon dioxide.
Upto 5% urea in products is beneficial to the skin, especially for dry skin conditions. However a 40% urea cream is manafactured to actually remove dead finger and toe nails, so it is pretty strong stuff.
Although urea is very beneficial to dry skin conditions, it should be advoided if any area are broken as it is technically an irritant. Most face creams contain some urea, I myself can only use creams with a low urea content as it is an irritant to my sensitive facial skin and will cause it to go red and tingle.
Um....back on topic....go to boots to get your synthetic pee pee cream today0 -
I was just bringing this post forward for passion8.
I'm sure that most of us have some Boots (to keep on topic) goodies, and others, that we can spare to brighten up the lives of some of these children. I'm sure a lot of you who bought toys in the sale could perhaps spare one? I am having a sort out of some toiletries and make up from GWP's etc which I know I will never use, to send to some of the teenagers, don't forget also, that some of them might have younger/older brothers and sisters that perhaps don't get so much attention too.
I do not want to take over here...but just a suggestion...there are about 80 children on the list and I was thinking we may end up sending to same ones etc. Do you think it would be a good idea if I type up a list of the name and we could pop our names next to them when we send a gift? Then each time someone sends something they have, that is suitable for that child, they pop their name next to them, that way we could kind of work through them?
Or should it be on a seperate thread?
Or shall I just SHUT UP lol0 -

Was in Fort Kinnaird Edinburgh at about 11am today. A SA was putting out a lot of Sanctuary foot care stuff onto the clearance stand. There were foot care bags for £5 with four mini foot care products (I bought one of these) plus some full sized products at 50% off. (Foot Soak, Foot Scrub and Foot Souffle if I remember right.)
No Mothers Day Sanctuary sets, no S&G SS and no Accessorize Hatboxes to be seen, but this sort of thing always goes quickly at Fort I think. Plenty of the £1.99 JF serums and some S&G bags. Oh, and there was a stand of reduced foundations over at the No7 counter.Val.0 -
had a decent shop today!!
got the expert on the go tin for 50P (not bad considering the hand cream in it alone is £2.50, also 17 foundation for £1.50 with the 100 points. in woking they had the S&G bags however when scanned it cums up at £2.50 so l left it!!!!
tried to use the 100 points with any expert range with a expert range sensitive soap in clearnce for 35p, but the till bleeped and the SA wasent willing to put it on manually. oh well never mind.....
managed to get the 3 4 1 eventually with teh dazzle eyeshadows at £3.75 so in effect got 2 eyeshadows an teh lip glaze for £3.75.... happy as a nice treat for my tennage sister whose 13 she`ll be chuffed:j:T LLB HONS :T
im well chuffed...........0 -

Thanks Dollardogand vikki_louise whose homepage is: http://www.postpals.co.uk/
It crossed my mind about these children having siblings too, and also about their Mums, Dads etc. I've had a sort through of the smaller items, not necessarily cheaper, just light ones - and it occurred to me just how many scrunchies we might have all received and won't use. Or some of the smaller Boots items, like the small purses that had shimmer sets in ...that sort of thing. Or sachets of face masks, hairbands like the excellent ones in the accessorize hatboxes, and the like. Enough to fill up a small jiffy bag, or whatever anyone can afford to send really.
I'm sure some of the parents are in need of a pamper, so maybe if we all have a look, we can at least find something small?Think of all the samples we'll never get around to using from the numerous GWP - or the highlighters?
I've started by buying a few books of stamps, and 10 x jiffy bags, and the cards that I buy and forget to send
Every little thing helps doesn't it? Off to have another look xOh what a tangled web we weave, when first we practice to deceive. ~ Sir Walter Scott0
