    Evening all

I've just been updating my sig. I thought I was doing really well at £73 out of a £120 budget, but then I found some more receipts!!

My month finishes on Friday I think. Cant remember when I get paid  So I'll definately be under budget for a nice change. Hurrah!!! :T Will need to buy more milk but thats about it. I calculated an extra £20 this month for Easter and I ended up spending £27.55 on Easter Eggs from Marks and Spencers to impress BFs family. Madness! At least I'm managing some sort of budget whereas before I just would have spent on my credit card. So some progress I think

    :hello: to all the newbies
  • i'm going away on thursday until about the 10th, put me down for £80 for the rest of April that should do us. it's going to be very frugal living when i get back to of set the cost of going over to look after my dad.

Can anyone explain the system behind the stars and medals under our user names? Some people have 1 and other s 2 or 3 and it doesn't seem to relate to how long you have been a member. Who decides whether you are a money saving covert or a stalwart etc?

    Thanks

Thought that I was going to be madly over as was down to €25 but DD2 gave me €60 and DD4 €50 so now have about €50 to spend between now and 31st so should make it...subsidies from DDs was towards their keep so feel justified in adding to pot.

Hi all hope youve had a good week.

I went to tescos today and did my last shop for this month
I bought a huge piece of pork for 10.00 there is still half left we can have for tea tomorrow. There were also lots of bargin 1.00 meals and 2 4 1 offers.

However i still spent 80.00  (2 adults and 3 children)

My ds1 came with me to help and i ended up buying him a safe, which he said he needed to keep his own things away from the younger ones (he is nearly 14).
I bought him this as i felt guilty because i owed him money from christmas (more guilt - i felt he did not get enough so had said i would give him money later in the year)
Any way i shouldnt have bothered as when he got it home the younger children were trying to get in it my no 1 son hid the keys.........in the safe:rolleyes:
Now he cannot get in the safe

NOTE TO SELF .... NEVER AGAIN :rotfl:

  • Mardatha have you tried putting chocolate in the freezer, I do and only take out a small amount each day, just enough to sort out the cravings.
egon With your bread do you warm the milk? You probably already do, but if not try warming it to hand warm. HTH
