Most of these filters have activated carbon which reduces/removes the chlorine.

Do you recycle your filters? Brita has a recycling scheme where you can post the used filters to them - free post so it costs you nothing except an old envelope.

    FFM :)

Our local Robert Dyas has just started recyling them so I will be taking them there in future.

Have sat a done a full freezer/cupboard inventory in excel and that is now printed off and blue tacked to the back of the kitchen door (how sad am I:o) and looking through Ive come up with a rough meal plan for at least 20 evening meals combining leftovers already in the freezer and stuff I can bulk cook from what I have and then use to restock the freezer so fingers crossed I should only need fresh stuff next month. Then I might be able to defrost the freezer:rolleyes:

razra - that is a great idea. I forgot that I have a printer, doh! I must have re-written the same blooming list about 5 times. No more! Thank you for this :T :T :T

I've just spent the rest of our March budget. Ok, we are £0.27 over.... lol

We shouldn't need ANYTHING, but the way we going through milk.....??????

I can't wait for DS2 to be a year old (July). Then I won't need to buy formula anymore.

Also, a quick question to all the bread bakers: When I do my bread with milk (or even Mrs M baps), they do not rise. I even have left it over night!
If I use water, no problem. What am I doing wrong?????

  • 4 NSD's for me and hopefully won't be going shopping until Thursday. The meal plan has gone to pot, we were at MIL's on Sat & Sun and OH fancied a takeaway tonight. OH has been digging to mend dodgy drains at his M&D's so he needed a treat, and seeing as we had 2 free meals over the weekend I let him ;) (takeaways aren't included in my GC budget).

I'll be going to Asda on Thurs so I'm going to take advantage of the Raisins and mixed peel for 22p. Has anyone else got tips for cheap stuff at Asda?

I've worked out that I have at least 21 meals in my freezer :D, so I would really like to get just F&V and milk on thurs and the first week of April (which starts April 1st for me). Famous last words :rotfl:
