Quickie update as we're setting up the printer... the wrong power lead is in it! lol! But according to Ste it's the same power lead that's in the ps2 so he's gone to rob his brothers for the night... :rotfl:

Waheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeey... nicked a power lead from BIL and the printers brilliant!!!! It's wireless so we're able to have it upstairs so the kids don't wreck it (or anything we're printing) while still being able to have the laptop downstairs. :D:D:D

Morning all... hope everyone's well! Forgot to mention that I didn't go to my ann summers training party on friday night... had some stuff to sort out so stayed at home but am going to rearrange annother one. I printed out loads of leaflets last night so am going to go leafletting today I think Am going to need some more paper at this rate though.. :rotfl:

Both the girls have come down with colds which they must've picked up at nursery... I was expecting it to be honest as K has NEVER had a cold and Ash hasn't had one since she was at nursery which was a year and a half ago! lol

Anyway, hope everyone's having a good weekend!

How rubbish am I... I got all motivated and everything to do some leafletting on the way back from MILs... and did 1/2 a street before losing motivation and went home.. utterly utterly rubbish... but it's so boring on your own and I didn't even have an mp3 player or anything... :doh:
How the hell can I expect to get bookings if I can't be arsed to do anything proactive?? :wall:

At least you did half a street - do the other half tomorrow and you've done a whole street - that's quite a lot of houses (unless it's a really small street ).

Once you get a few parties done, you will probably start to get bookings by word of mouth, and by other people booking parties while they are actually AT a party (could you offer a small free gift for anyone who books on the night while they are in the party mood? Bottle of wine etc?)

Right well I put some music on my phone and put some leaflets out around our house... ran out of leaflets very quickly but it's a start and it was much easier with some music to listen to. going to do some every night if I can and have printed off another 100... have also got a map which I'm marking off which ones I've done.
At least it's starting the ball rolling if anything!

My local pub, appropriately called the Swinger (pmsl) does Ann Summers parties on a Tuesday night when there's eff all on the telly... i'd have a word with your boss at the pub lol... or see if there's another one locally who'll do it to boost trade... nothing like getting drunk in charge of a vibrating toy lol..
