Part of the Furniture 1,000 Posts Combo Breaker Car Insurance Carver!
I wrote to Westcot Credit Services on 27.2.9 requesting CCA regarding RBS debt I owe. They replies today saying I need to write to their client at SouthenD On Sea and state in my letter it is a section 77/78 request and enclose a po or cheque made payable to their client. How do I proceed with this??

  • Oscar68? I thought someone said it was an application form you'd received last night and therefore wasn't enforceable? Ignore if I got that wrong.

Yes, they did but I'm a little confused  . I thought an application form was acceptable if it contained the prescribed terms. I'm just not sure what's missing or how to word my response to First Trust... apologies!!

Don't know if this ongoing from anything I've not read but, nope, Westcot is to supply that NOT you write to their 'client'. It's another thing DCAs try and use. I don't know if they have purchased the debt but if so then you have done correctly writing to them. I have an idea how to proceed but will await other opinions. In case I got this all wrong.
Any help, opinions, views I may hold those are my own. Respect them as you would expect the same in return. Offered freely, is gleaned from a lifetime of experiences, knowledge gaining. Passed on to benefit others. I may be direct, ask you questions but those are to help you. Up to you if you choose to take it. I won't judge you either way.

You MUST keep a log from now on each and everytime they call you ;)

Do you mean phoned right now as in the last few minutes? Hmmm. Only ask because I became aware quite some time ago that I would post away on certain forums (consumer ones) and get a phone call more or less straight after. So it wasn't just random. Yes, write a letter but also report them to someone more officious. Then you have that back up as MC will continue to ignore I am afraid, regardless.

I know this sounds simple, but I've spent 2 days trying to upload my CCA response from Barclaycard but still haven't been able to figure out how.
I can't get to the point of actually getting an opinion if I can't upload it.

Thanks to those that have suggested, but I don't have an "upload icon", or if I do can't find it, under posting rules I get the msg "you may not post attachments." Can someone please tell me how to do this.
