Hi guys, sorry to jump in, just a quick one. I have just received back from cabot after requesting cca an application form for my halifax credit card which is simply just an application only, also statements and also what looks like a credit agreement. What i am not sure of is, this credit agreement is about 15-20 pages but although it states this is a copy of your agreement it also has conditions of use on the front of it. Im in the frame of mind that this conditions of use is merely for an info pack cos it has nothing on it with my name or information on it or personal details apart from at the top of the page its clearly my credit card number handwritten on the page along with cabots name handwrote too in the same writing. I am not too sure if this thing is actually a credit agreement haha any suggestions anyone? has anyone else had the same thing back from halifax?0

Fredrickson International have been naughty. I CCA'd them in April, sent all three letters, and heard nothing from them. Now I've had a letter from Cabot saying they've bought the debt. Obviously I'll just CCA Cabot since the agreement is clearly not around, but should I complain again about FI? I complained to the IC but they didn't do anything, they said I should send the letters and £1 postal order again, which seemed a bit silly.Unless I say otherwise 'you' means the general you not you specifically.0

There is another letter you can send without the £1 - if an account is in dispute it should not be passed on to another agency.
(Hang on i'll look it out.)

Bazza Thanks mate your a diamnond you really are:A
I will wait for someone else to confirm hopefully soon so i can fire off a letter.
Some of these Debts we have been trying to pay off for years some even go back to an original agreement taken out in 1992 and we have been paying them ever since that time.
Only small amounts I admit but we have never tried to hide from anyone!
i wish there was a way to try & persuad some of these poeple to consider writing the debts off cos we are really struggling at mo!!
Regards mate,

Seems very basic to me there are usually a page of terms and conditions ,plus does the CC ACT say the heading has to be of a certain size ?0

swt,
Is there anything on the other side? I think that the T&Cs are usually printed on the reverse and this is where they usually fail in copying when they put these into storage. The other side is a vital part of the agreement and without it it's void.
Some try to get round this by attaching a copy on a seperate sheet. Obviously this is ripe for forgery.0
