Hi, this is the Daily Thread for 27thFebruary 2008. This is an “over the garden fence” type thread where we chat about everything OS and maybe a little bit more. It’s a great, inspiring and motivating thread we start each day to discuss what we’re going to do today or what we’ve achieved already. Everyone’s welcome, please do come in, put your feet up (although check the fence hasn’t just been painted first!) and join us for an OS natter. The more the merrier!
When you make a post, if you feel like giving it a title, that will help others that don’t have the time to read everything skim through the thread quickly but if not it's not a problem, we’re a laid back bunch here so you won’t hear any complaints. Please do not start a new daily thread before you go to bed at night because this often leaves things confusing with two daily threads live at the same time. The idea is that a member would start each new daily thread after they get up in the morning
Some people who chat here like to try to answer everyone. Don’t feel you have to though, a general “hi everyone, hope everyone’s well” type start does just as well.
Good Morning :hello:
I see you arranged to have the earth move for your birthday Crazychik.
Hope you have a lovely day.
Hugs to Smoky. xxx
Sorry to hear your feeling down Beemuzed.
Wannasave and Churchie.... Can't you keep your BM filth to pm please?
Csarina, can you go back to grirrrrrrrrrrrrrring? When you say Urghhhhhhhhh!!!! I keep thinking you're choking on something.
Today I shall mostly be going into the office and working very hard. Then I shall be coming home and cooking mince and onion pasties and doing the ironing.
Have a lovely day all.
Haribo x

The earth moving has woken me .... now i cant get back to sleep
HAPPY BIRTHDAY Crazychik
((Hugs)) To those who need them or want them.
I havent been around for a few days. Still trying to regulate myself with my pain medications and my body clock has gone to pot. But hopefully in 5 days i can have my stitches out and then can start some kind of physioSo there is light at the end of a very long tunnel.
My BM has had the last 8 days off. But i have today managed to get the WM and TD on by myself. I even managed to cook tonight ( even if it was only putting a frozen pizza in the oven
)
Hope everyone has a great dayfurrypig says:my name is Choccy and I am addicted to nose free stamps as I want to save them all and give them noses!!!:rotfl:
About me. Im Choccy or Chocolate orange depending on where i am.Yes occasionally i am a total looon who spends too long online, but no where near as much £ as her spendy elves do ..:D0 -
Evnin all....I'm half way through my two days off for this week with work, so I think getting up before midday would be criminal when I know I'll be in work between Wednesday and Sunday!
Quick question....if you've got a mind that's keen to leap on a money making opportunity. I get a £5 Tesco voucher for each hour overtime I work (along with normal wages for that time!), and this month it's likely to exceed my food/petrol requirements, so any ideas how to put those to good use to make a spot of money.
My best bet so far is to sell them to my housemates as rent tokens....for each one I pass on they'll chip in a bit towards paying my rent. Any more cunning plans would go down nicely!DFW - DEBT FREEEEEE!

Smoky <hugs> and everyone else that needs one.
Been pretty busy today. I'm starting to get a sore throat so I'll just ignore it and it should go away. DGS has a cold so I know where it's come from. Off to visit my sister tomorrow for the day. I'm having carrot  & lentil loaf for tea and at this rate nothing for dessert.DGS & XDIL are coming up after he wakes so I better keep moving. Have a great day and will pop back later. Byeeeeeeeeeeeee
Don't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia.0 -
Morning all.
SMOKY - my thoughts are with you. Thank you for the update yesterday and I'm praying that you get some positive news very soon. Take good care of yourself, too, even though it must be difficult right now. Massive (((((hugs))))) coming your way.
AUSSIE - hope your sore throat gets better. Are you sure TWINK hasn't made an effigy of you which she keeps sticking pins in? I accused her of breaking wind and falling off a bridge yesterday (and had the picture in my mind all day!) and it was all because of your post! I'm sure she's far too refined to do that sort of thing!
CHURCHMOUSE:hello: :hello: :hello:
Today I have my DGS and DGD coming round after school; he's started collecting the Premier League stickers so I've bought him a couple of packets. DGD doesn't collect any stickers so I shall buy her a comic or something. They will also collect the £2 they each squeezed out of DH for beating their Dad at a difficult game, plus DGS did really well at gymnastics at the weekend (he won't tell me what happened over the phone, he wants to tell me in person!) so that may be another £2!
Today I have to type up the invoices I couldn't be bothered to do yesterday, preferring to knit instead! I've very nearly got a workable system in my office for all the paperwork - both DH's work stuff, mine and the domestic bits and pieces. DH is very forgetful so I'm making him update the diary every night - it seems to be working so far.
Dinner tonight is fish; I've bought some fresh cod but have to decide what to do with it. I may just bake it in foil and have it with some new pots and salad. The stuffed potato jackets went down really well last night so that's another one on my meal plan list.
I'm hoping to visit the gym again today and I shall also go on Friday which is 'Fruity Friday' - we all have to do the circuit anti-clockwise, which will cause some confusion, I'm sure, and grab a piece of fruit on the way out! I really enjoyed the gym yesterday and came out buzzing.
Well, I suppose I'd better go and put the BM on then have a shower so will see you all later.

Morning all. Another work day. The last 2 have been rather busy and I have been getting home late. Tonight after work there is supposed to be a few beers, so I will be home late again
Well not too late.
All is pretty much going on as normal in the household. Stress levels are med-high due to the OH teaching practise.

Morning All
Happy Birthday Crazychick
Hope everyone's ok after the earthquake.
Well, I've paid the final part of the deposit on the flat and I complete next Friday.
Whilst at the building society, I asked whether I had their best savings account. I've swapped to one with a 0.5% higher interest, and providing I make less than four withdrawals in the next year, I'll earn a bonus 1% interest. Now I'm looking into moving my ISA somewhere. Need to do some research on that one.
Freezing in this office again, so got a fruit tea brewing. Manage to scald my ankle with boiling water somehow
Probably going to see a friend after work and I really hope I can get an early night as I've had two late ones in a row now.
Hope everyone's okComping, Clicking & Saving for Change0 -
