I'm trying to repair my credit rating, so it was another reason for me accepting this deal I'm about to describe.
I was paying £25 a month for my 3 Mobile internet dongle contract, with 7GB of inclusive browsing. My contract is about to end so I decided to call disconnections (AKA customer retentions).
For the same price, I now get 15GB and a free Netbook, one which retails at £250 and has good reviews on Amazon etc. I'm tied in for 2 years though but I needed a netbook for travelling so am pleased.0 -

I was on a £20 rolling contract for 400 mins and 500 texts I tried to call for an upgrade a few times but their deals just weren't competitive so I asked to be put through to disconnections. They said they would give me the phone I wanted (£300 worth) 600 mins 1000 texts unlimited internet access all for £25 a month! Thanks for your help Martin it does work!
I done the same a couple of months ago but I was paying £37.50pm reduced to £25pm with 600min and 1000 texts and unlimited internet (worth £7.50)
Plus the Samsung Pixon (new at the time)

I needed to upgrade my SIM card to a 3G one as I'd gotten a new phone, so I rang T-Mobile and asked. The first guy told me I'd have to pay £10 for it - so I hung up, rang back and asked for a PAC code. Got through to a very nice Welsh gentleman by the name of Jason, who arranged to get me the new SIM for no charge, put me onto a better price plan and gave me 60 free minutes as well (though whether the free minutes are monthly or just a one-off, I'm not sure).
Still, I'll have to see whether their mobile internet service ("web n walk") is any good. If it's not, I'll probably be leaving for good...0 -
Got my AOL reduced to £9.99 from £25 ish after the heads up on here. Saying I was going to cancel and move over to Sky.
Got free Sky+ and installation after saying I was going to leave and buy a Freeview box. Had to keep going through lots of people/departments on the same call, but eventually got there.
Had £150 knocked off the house insurance with Direct Line after telling them it was cheaper somewhere else.
Had £100 knocked off the car insurance with Direct Line after telling them it was cheaper and with cash back on the internet. Could not match the cash back, but they reduced the insurance price and I wanted to stay with them.

I currently pay £73.75 per month for Sky, HD and multiroom.
That's a big spend on TV in anyones book I reckon.
Phoned to cancel the other day, not offered anything and now on one months notice before the service ends.0 -

I have always had a good deal from the AA... I took over my grandad's membership as I learnt to drive the same year that he had to give up driving (he'd had a membership with them for 50 years!!). So right from the start I was getting complimentry homestart, which meant paying around £100 for a £150 package. Last year I phoned them when the renewal came up and got it knocked down to £89 as I had my car insurance with them (10% discount on the already reduced price). This year I phoned them when I got the renewal price (£102) and threatened to move to RAC, hoping they would match the price I paid last year. They bettered it and I got the whole lot for £82 (20% off the already reduced price).
To make it even better, my nan still pays for my AA cover as part of my birthday present each year, so I actually saved her money.Became Mrs Wallis Nov 2010, baby girl born at home in the birth pool 1st Oct 2012 :happyhear0 -
