https://www.ipoints.co.uk get points for shopping, free stuff and surveys. Mysupermarket is 400 points plus 1 point per £1 and as you shop it also compares your trolley to other supermarkets suggests reductions and special offers and also calorie changes.

    Exchange the points for vouchers/items

Ok...soooo, the caravan is off the list of ideas. Looks like we are looking for a rental property for him now. The site fee's just made the caravan way too expensive. Boo.

Right thanks to evab I am now going to be a weekly shopping genius! I will shop sensibly and along with batch cooking will save myself lots of money!! She says!

Need to start cutting back if we are to afford rent AND a mortgage. Phew. The next 3 years are going to be tight tight tight money wise. But we can do it...I know we can. Short term pain = long term gain. I'm also going to do it without reducing the OP's on the mortgage if I can! Gulp!

Within 10 miles of Bangor (North Wales). I know most areas round there pretty well, but have never looked for a long term rent before. We've seen a few things ...but I guess we'll have to organise I trip to go and view them. Anglesey is looking slightly cheaper at the mo though.

Well he's used to a big commute at the minute via train, and he plans to take his scooter to do the commute in (nice given the winters you guys get). I don't think your one year old could cope with him! I know I struggle. He's constantly on the go and appears to me to have ADHD (meant in a loving way).

I have a 40 minute drive every morning so I have no sympathy for him! Ha ha ha.

I was going to offer my speare room too (minus the one year old!) but we are too far from Bangor, nearer Chester really! When we did have a lodger we advertised through easyroommate.com it was great.
